What's missing here? (2 Viewers)

I think the only answer is some help from foreverlovemom....

Do you have any clue about the details that led to this?? One single clue??

Nope. I don’t. But I’d love to know why cops are putting informants in a low stakes cash game.

And if you don’t know the basis for t he stakeout either, it would seem your outlandish and juvenile overreactions are just as unnecessary/inappropriate as any “police slamming” that you might be ranting about.

As an aside... Do you post anything other than emotional tirades on this forum? Have you ever come into any topic with a level head and reasoned approach?

I don’t think the problem here is the forum or the people on it. You seem to be a centerpoint off much of the angst/disdain. Dialing back your triggered meter a notch might help. Just sayin’.

PS: And I have no idea what you’re talking about re: Dave. We have little to no interaction on the forums, except when we’re disagreeing about tourney structures.

Are you that dense? That's what I'm saying. How do you know cops were "putting" informants in a low stakes cash game. Do you think maybe, just maybe, there might have been a little more to it???? Did that EVER cross your mind? How about we make a wager that there's just a little more to it??

I have no idea anything about this "stakeout." None whatsoever. But I've heard these same song and dances like a broken record. And guess what, it never turns out to be as simple as what the original story leads on. My "outlandish and juvenile overreactions" are to the same outlandish and juvenile overreactions that came many posts before mine. I sure as heck didn't start with them.

As for "emotional tirades," you obviously are only wanting to read what you want. Doesn't surprise me one bit. I just get so sick of the same BS posted by the usual suspects, and I'm not afraid to voice it. And I won't be scared away from posting about it by those of you that consider yourself to be forum kings.

As for Dave, LOL! There's hardly a controversial topic where's he's not interjecting a couple pennies over and over.

So all of us had our day yesterday in Virginia Beach General District court but just those charged with Class 3 Misdemenaor for Illegal Gambling.** OP has date in end of January.

First of all, I cannot believe how many people do not dress appropriately for court. Their livelihood, and lives could be at stake. Camouflage Hoodies, Halter tops, see though crap, etc. were all on display. My wife dressed me so luckily I avoided a potential debacle. I hate courtrooms, they are an unfamiliar and adversarial place.

First of all my lawyer and another's no-showed! Mine was stuck in traffic court downstairs. Myself and three others were able to get a continuance to February so a Commonwealth Attorney can assist the Detectives w/their case. I am hopeful that this is where the lawyer will pay off as the other defense attorneys can meet with prosecution ahead of the court date and hopefully work on a good result.

Three other people faced the judge and lead detective in the case.

One pled guilty and pled no contest. The other was Guilty in Absentia.

Both the other individuals were found guilty and ordered to pay $100 fine plus fees. Court fees were an additional $100.

It was frustrating to see the informants that sat in the game with a folder of all of our statements and hand them off to the detective and leave the court room smirking all the way. Essentially those statements were handled as an admission of guilt.

Crazy world, informants, swat teams, reporters, tv time, etc..... to hand out $100 fines?
I’m sure those convictions will be used in the future proceedings as evidence that there was illegal gambling - after all they pleaded guilty - and the OP is going to suffer.
It might have played better to have the big charge tried first, then the small misdeamenors. But that’s the strategy, get a bunch of guilty pleas on small stuff, then use that as evidence the bigger crime was being committed.

Think aloe vera, calms and soothes. Known to be used to help down there post child birth and other traumas. I'm currently using it for all of the sick burns in this thread against me.
That made me lol hard.

Lol well I just finally got my first negative feedback bout a month post deal close. Gonna step up to some neosporin for that one
I'm waiting for the last package to go, then I'm spamming the neg feedback until you start spewing blood.

This is a good point and was the basis of my question of what is it that makes the game “illegal”, they have to have a gotcha for this to work. You don’t have to be guilty to plead guilty and they don’t have to have any real evidence to make someone not want to take a risk/go through a trial to plead guilty.... but yeah, I’ve had a buddy that was hammered hard about ten years ago and a lot of what they were using against him was his “co conspirators” stories/pleas. I know if I wasn’t doing anything wrong I would hate to see other people pleading and basically saying “yeah, it was wrong”.
