@JRReynolds6181 is to find something you like and plan to acquire them and in the meantime find something more reasonable to hold you over. China clays, mixed sets, well used chips etc. Or you could always play the trade up game. Buy a set, play it, save up, sell it for what you paid (or more if you so choose) combine with savings and buy a bigger nicer set. That's kinda how I started years ago. Now I just avoid the super expensive stuff and find things that I like. I'm a used casino chip guy, mint customs are not my cup of tea. Mainly because of cost.
