What's missing here? (3 Viewers)

I mean I signed up on some inter web site and was privately messaged to attend a poker game in some mans basement 6 hours away. Luckily I showed up with cash and was not robbed (until the second day @detroitdad).

Wish I would’ve known then that I was damn safe since @Lil Tuna was there. Lol I’ll never be scared to play anywhere you are from now on!

I felt bad that the new guy who had never heard of circus games cleaned up the first night.

Who better to give it all and more to then the host? Lol I’m a gracious guest! Hoping to make it back for that thanksgiving game!

Lol anybody saying they wouldn’t get in your door. Internet bravado at its finest. If they rolled up with the door knocker, 20 dudes all kitted up, and the over whelming force and speed they enter with you would be sitting there with your hands up like anybody else who has been through this and not been shot.

If you guys want to know so bad just put in a public records request for the probable cause documents, it’s really really easy if they aren’t sealed, which they most probably aren’t.

I don’t actually think @Lil Tuna has retina scanners and gun turrets at his entrance. I also don’t think people are just being keyboard warriors. Heck, go to one of these underground games out here in the country, and I guarantee these corn fed white boys will have a lot more packing at the game then the cops will be bringing (if it came to that for whatever reason).

I’m not sure what your first sentence means so I probably missed that post from the tuna, what I’m referring to is anybody that would say they would do anything other than stick their hands as far in the air as fucking possible if swat busted in their door. Whatever you want to call it it is BS, these dudes will shoot your dog if it runs at them “being aggressive”, you know, a dogs natural reaction to strangers intruding in their turf.

Im not sure the corn fed white boys you know, but what’s in someone’s safe or in their waste band doesn’t mean shit when swat has the drop on you. I know a lot of people with some nice collections, none of them are ready to react to a police raid with deadly force. They don’t sit outside setting up while giving you time to man the battle stations- they come in fast,by surprise, and with an OVERWHELMING show of force by a group of guys who only have to say they were in fear for their life to legally murder you.

go for it, go for your waist band or drop leg holster or the AR pistol everybody keeps under their table at private/legal games in their house instead of doing exactly what they say. I’ll admit to your corpse you weren’t just bragging on the internet about “what
you would do if they did that at your house”.

no offense, not singling anybody out because I couldn’t even tell you who’s usernames I read the posts by, but if that’s what you say you would do with guns pointed at you I call your bluff. ;)

That’s to me what I found interesting about this thread from the beginning.
If what was originally described is true and accurate, the cops should have never showed up in the manner that they were described as showing up.
I know plenty of cops, active and retired. Games don’t just get raided for NO reason!
I’ve attended many games in the state of Virginia. Most on the up and up, some not so much.
The ones on the up and up have never had anything like what was described happen.
Simple as that!
I can tell you that if the Po Po’s show up at my door on poker night, it will just be to enjoy a bowl of my chili and check out the action while they’re on a break.

There IS a reason this happened. 100%. It may not be a “legit” reason once every thing is flushed out, but for a team to come to your house their is 100% a reason they are there.

The game I was in that was raised was MOST DEFINITELY being raked, it was after hours in a bar and we all drank until 6am when we played, and there was a few guys who sold weed so there was always pot being passed around.

We were a group of mid 20—early 30s dudes who were about as threatening as a pack of golden retrievers and my hands were in the air with a gun in me for about three minutes before they cuffed me. They do not fuck around and they will win every time.

Let’s see, we have a bunch of dudes, probably drinking, sitting at a table packing lots of heat. In the other corner we have a well trained, basically military force with hundreds of hours training together in operational efficiency who have the element of surprise and have 100% received and reviewed the layout of the house. Oh, and in a country where “I felt threatened” has become a valid legal defense for cops to murder people without consequence.

Place your bets, folks.

Not to mention if you murder a cop who has entered your house with a warrant you are pretty much guaranteed the death penalty in the majority of states in the USA. I‘m pretty sure the people who are constantly talking about their right to defend themselves against the government haven’t thought about what it actually means In the micro sense of modern America. It means killing police officers.

Was just trying to understand why a fellow chipper from my home State has this happen to them. Not making any accusations or trying to be a hero. Just wanted to understand the circumstances.
Nothing about it based on the information given ads up!

I think your name got dragged into a convo you weren’t involved in about packing heat at games.

as for the OP, I’ve read his description and my guess would be:

Cops were looking for drugs. Couldn’t get a warrant but knew about the game as OP said it was public And got a warrant for that. Raided the house, searched the usual spots, didn’t find anything. Took the casino stuff and gave out tickets to cover their track once they didn’t find anything.

So... don’t be suspected of being a drug house would be my recommendation. Why OP was I couldn’t tell you, maybe because of games and maybe parties he had people going in and out of his house at all hours of the night often. Cops will often stake houses in residential neighborhoods that have people coming and going a lot at night as potential drug homes.

Makes sense to a degree my friend. Don’t understand the ticketing of other players. The 2 games I have known of to be busted, only the operators were charged.
One of them for tax evasion. That game also had an attempted robbery at one point by people claiming to be the FBI.
Robbery was foiled by an undercover officer who was playing in the game and drew his weapon.
For these reasons I try to understand all circumstances and KNOW exactly who sits at my table.
