Two Pair
Looking for a high quality set of chips for a lower stakes cash game. Would like $.50, $1 and $5 denominations. Any recommendations? Thanks in advance!
Yep, I forgot to add the budget question. Also what would you like to pay for the set (either total $ or $/chip)?
Welcome!
What stakes? (I assume .50/1)
How many players?
What is the buy-in?
How many rebuys?
Yep, I forgot to add the budget question.
FYPIf money isn’t a concern of yours... I’d get your hands on @RainmanTrail Lakeshore cash set... My goodness that is top-tier chipping...
Thanks!Welcome! Highly recommend getting samples of whatever chips you are interested in.
Here are brpropoker samples. You can customize the denominations to whatever you like.
Chips are usually around 0.65 usd a piece.

This would be enough for your current game:
.50 x 100
$1 x 200
$5 x 200
Total bank: $1250
Add more 5's, and/or some $20's or $25's to future-proof your game.
So you're looking at being able to spend as much $1.50 to $2 per chip. That gives you a lot of options, including some Paulson sets. Ceramics from @ABC Gifts and Awards (they're also BR Pro), are a great option. Get samples!
Just a couple thoughts: you could skip the 50¢ chip, and play 1/1. Or, you could get 25¢ chips instead of the 50¢ chips. That would allow you the option to play .50/1, .25/.50, or even .25/.25 if you want to have a lower stakes game.
Like the idea of playing $1/$1, thanks!
This would be a great way to get quality chips for your game at a good price.https://www.pokerchipforum.com/threads/hound-dog-asm-hot-stamps.41966/
There is a Cash set, .50/1/5... Plenty of chips at 400 shipped.
I knew I liked you. It's prob one of the best options for a large clay set with 1/5s/25s and non denom for Fracs....This would be a great way to get quality chips for your game at a good price.
Great, thanks! If you really want to have fracs (chips worth less than $1, usually quarters or nickels), I'd forego 0.50 cent chips and get quarters. If your group doesn't want to play 1/1 and wants to play lower blinds one night, you have quarters to play a 0.25/0.50.
If you're dead set on a 0.50 chip, a 500 chip set of Paulson CDI's (The James Bond chips) will run for about $1,000 if you're patient.
