Doing anything fun? plans? relaxing? Poker?

Colleen and I are headed to Rochester NY early tomorrow morning. All of her siblings are meeting for the weekend. Should be fun. We will eat well, watch some fireworks, and throw some axes.

Safe travels my friend!! We're heading to Vegas for the Main Event.

I imagine our English friends, @Perthmike and @BonScot , might be celebrating like this:

Drink beer and watch the kids throw snap caps in the driveway. Then get told “I’m not in the mood” by my wife that night and “how much have you had to drink today?” Along with her favorite of “you’re getting up with the kids in the morning, so you might want to quite now.” It will be a great day!

All 7 of the siblings will be together for the first time in 4 years. My brother is back from Idaho, and brought his wife, son and fiancée, and grandkids. My wife and I have been married 25 years, and she has never met Cindy, his wife. Cindy is very sweet, but absolutely hates to travel, so this is a big deal.

Bad Axe? Don’t you have some shopping to do as well?

I’m going to see the Eagles at Hampden Park. You can’t get more American than that!!

Coincidentally, we watched the Eagles Farewell Tour 1, recorded at Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne in 2005 (when Glenn Frey was still alive), last night during and after supper.

I've got to say, IMO -- Beatles, Stones, Miracles, Temptations, even U2, whoever -- the Eagles might have the greatest body of work of any rock band in my lifetime. Three great lead singers, and in addition to being a *great* guitarist, Joe Walsh might be the funniest, most entertaining guy ever in rock.

We'll catch some fireworks, local and on TV from New York City -- but after 35 years of living there, we sure as hell won't be watching anything coming from DC.

We are going to watch some dirt track racking at hagerstown speedway on the 4th!! And Saturday @Ben8257 and his dad host a big 4th of July party that will be helping with as well as participating in!!!! Should be a fun weekend with little sleep!!!!!
Have fun everyone!!!!

-Brie
