Ladies and gentleman.
I bring you an important question.
What is the current census, WTHC or PCR v1, which are more desireable?

Either. Both are beautiful, anyway.
My only objection to both sets is the uninspiring hundo. Would have much preferred the 2TA316 black hundo available as part of another PCR configuration (if I 'm not mistaken) or as Avalon hundo.

@Coyote What do you think of the AS cash set hundred as looking version of the Avalon/PCR v2 hundred?

The WTHC/PCR v1 hundred gets alot of praise by my friends. They love it. And I can see why. Vibrant edge spots. Nice inlay.

I think the AS cash $100 is oversized (43mm) , so not a match to these chips; let alone that it belongs to another price range, for reasons you may have found out or shall find out. :)

Havent found the reason for the price range unless you are referring to the secret group buy.

I 'm not referring to anything. :D  :ROFLMAO:
Now that I see both sets again, I would vote hot-stamped. More classic and classy. It even makes the hundo acceptable.

Here, we 'll have to repeat the classic dull line from lifestyle magazines, on orgasm: "Do, and ask for, whatever you personallly, honestly like"

@Coyote Well then, you bring up a good point and I have a follow up question.

How much should one pay per chip for PCR v1?

I 'm relatively new here and I have never pursued these.
And my general views on pricing are rather romantic (community-minded) :ROFLMAO: , and, because of this, utterly irrelevant.

While the design of both sets are simple and fairly classy, one allows the lineup of beautiful chip colors to shine through with an elegantly designed hot stamp with very sharp details that stamps just about perfectly (is fairly durable as far as hotstamps go), a theme with with mass generic appeal to the underground poker world. The other is a glorified advertisement chip utilizing a monopoly theme - on the wrong chip mold for said theme. ;)

That being said, the WT&C are a lot more popular and I wouldn't be surprised if the overall quantity produced was 100x that of the PCRs. Some folks just haven't developed the acquired tastes for hot stamps yet.

It's been a while since I've purchased any, but IIRC PCRs go for $1.5-$2+ per chip, depending on the denomination. The premium that the WT&Cs command routinely astonishes me.
