I missed it too, thought it was just gray geometric shapes. But, it was explained early on.

I’m about as boring as they come. I just find it so hard to get away from traditional colors.

I almost wish there was a yellow frac option, in which case I’d move from the $20 to the $25, but I’m happy with this lineup. Just debating blue vs purple frac at this point. I like the blue better, but since the $1 has blue in it, I’m wondering if the purple will play better as part of the overall set.

Again this is from the standard colour kit, so may be different if we use the bright one, but I really liked the way the purple and grey look on the samples

This is exactly what my choices would be! Who cares about the blue quarter and the blue on the $1?? They look awesome!
 
After careful consideration, I am NOT changing the mold pattern in the Cali set. The Cali set is my baby. It's the reason I'm doing this. So...I'm not changing it. I am still considering whether I will change the mold pattern in the Traditional set, so that all 20/25 chips will be on the same mold, to facilitate more mixing-and-matching between sets. Trouble is, I think some color combinations look better on certain molds than others (I freakin' LOVE the $100 in the traditional set, on that mold...not so much on the moon mold). Anyway... I'll decide soon. For now this is up in the air. But what is NOT up in the air, is the Cali set spot pattern. It stays the same.

The OP has been updated with the current state of the set(s), and a rough timeline for ordering. Next step...I wait to hear back from Matsui.

Start designing your sets, if you are planning to order...the order window is going to be short!

Oh, one other thing -- there really needs to be a significant sign-on of a given denom before it makes sense to run with it. For example if there are only 300 snappers ordered, it doesn't make sense to order them, as it adds $250-$300 in Matsui artwork fees for these 300 chips! I am not going to set minimums per denom for now. Let's just see where there is interest, and where there is not. I'm guessing that NOT all of these chip options will actually be produced.
 
Yeah, the traditional hundo is perfect. Please don't change that. I quite like the whole traditional set as it is.

Agreed, I like the molds on the traditional set as they currently stand.

It is a great looking chip. Best ever.........whatever lol. The problem is. 100's rarely, if ever, hit the table at my house. I'll still get a couple of barrels of them.
 
Love the chips but I'm probably out having blown well through my chip budget on Jacks.

at least that's what I keep telling myself
 
How long do we have to save up for this? I really want a set but don’t have the funds right now?
