Note: not looking for input on whether these should be bought... just if someone's bought something similar before.

Has anyone here ever bought fake cash stacks for poker use? They do it on PAD (real stacks though :nailbite:) and it looks pretty cool. Thinking about doing it for a tournament set even though it doesn't exactly make sense (T vs $). I almost had a great deal on OfferUp before they (OfferUp) backed out the transaction since the fake cash violated their terms of use.

Looking at this as a possibility on Amazon. Though it seems dicey with quality (most send something different than what's pictured) I'm not worried about getting refunded with Amazon's A+ customer service.

I have seen stories on the news about it. There’s a lot of controversy about it since it looks so real. I’m curious. Make sure you post pics!
Yeah most of them have some Mandarin/Cantonese (some other Asian language) printed on it. White lettering with bright pink outlines.

I'll definitely post pictures if/when I pull the trigger.

I would urge caution with anything related to currency. Anything that could be perceived as counterfeit is a potential risk. Personally, I would just not go there.

So you can buy training bank notes that are green and are official "fake" money that's acceptable to use. I have 20 stacks at home. Only issue is someone new always pulls out some bills to call and does not view them as "chips" or a plaque.

I have what I call my "Chinese funny money" which consists of $20 bills in stacks with bright red Chinese writing on it.

100% legal (obviously) and does the job of having bundles of cash on the table to use for deep cash games. I picked up like 1000 bank notes (I think I have them in bundles of 50 or 100 now) for under $40 from a Chinese seller on eBay.

Example from eBay:

Search for "joss paper money" - many oriental cultures burn it as offerings to ancestors (or something like that).

Is there actually any risk for products being sold on Amazon though? Maybe I'm naive but I just have to think that Amazon wouldn't allow people to sell counterfeit tender (under the law) given it's a federal crime. Also I guess I'd be surprised if the FBI or whomever wouldn't bother search for it on eBay and Amazon with a few key strokes and shutting it down at the source as opposed to getting daily calls from across the country about people having it.

I'm not a fan of anything on the table that takes up more space than is necessary. The stacks of cash look good on TV, but serve no legit purpose IMO. My vote would be to pass.

I wouldn’t assume amazon / eBay etc police that stuff perfectly. “But Amazon sold it” is unlikely to be a successful defence but IANAL. Maybe some legal eagles can chime in?

Thanks for the input Mike luckily table space isn't an issue and I guess I'd argue stacks of bills serve as much purpose as little pieces of $20 clay that says $5,000 on it :D

Per this article there's a few prints that were made and are now widely used and 100% legal so for anyone who is worried about the legal aspect, don't think it's a factor as long as it looks like one of the ones in the article. https://www.cnn.com/style/article/rjr-props-fake-money/index.html

Mostly though no one playing in my game would even try grabbing some off the table even for jokes.

Subbing to this thread. I want to buy some myself for travel purposes vs carrying heavy poker chips while backpacking. Looking for stacks and stacks of $1s, maybe some $5s.

Please let me know what you decide & quality etc. thanks!

It looks pretty cool to play with cash packs as highest denoms! My poker mates love these packs!

Seems like they wouldn't hold up long, throwing them often in to a poker pot.

I've had the $10,000 packs the longest and they are doing well! I went the way to buy different designs for different denoms.

$40k bundles on sale.... mixed $100 bill versions - (plus code for 20% off at top of the page - PMA20)
Looks like just 9 left. ;) @ $19.99 per bundle.

Pleasantly surprised with the ones I got but I may try the imperfect ones you posted as well.

I bought some 5 or 6 years ago, and only used them 1 time.
