Opportunity Knocks! (1 Viewer)

Orphan insinuates that the chips are young and new... It's says "long standing". How long have their chips been in play? Mm:). But boy, the Paulson market could use some diluting right about now...

Wow, the article says there are TWENTY casinos operating on the island, yet it's smaller than the state of CT!

20 casinos, but only two with poker (Condado Marriott and Ritz). PR chips are hard to come by in quantity. I'd be surprised of there was any significant number of chips to be had...

If I recall correctly, The Condado Plaza Hilton was roughly the size of a nice gas station/store with food. It only opened limited hours. It wasn't anything like a big USA operation. I suspect they aren't going to have a lot of chips for us to fight over.

But we can hope for the best -=- DrStrange

Didn't the article reference like 144 employees?

Sad news.....I played craps there in the 90's. Everyone was super friendly.

When Revel and Showboat did their big layoffs in AC, they laid off 5000 employees between them and that wasn't even all the employees for both properties. 144 is not much at all for a gaming establishment.

I believe it. However, I've been to several carribean casinos (on the smaller scale like was referenced above) and there's no way they employed 144 people

No way of knowing but it could be employees not directly employeed at the casino. Payroll hr etc.

Anyway back on topic. I thought Jim mentioned something about hilton hotels never selling their chips. So chances of these being up for grabs are probably slim no?
