Why don’t you have the auction here on this website, and a proceed of the total amount go to your fundraiser.

You will have more bidders here.
He probably cannot limit who can bid on an auction just to the people who donated if on PCF based on the auction terms here. He mentioned this concern previously.

So, a giant F-U to anyone outside the USA. Great, thanks.

(BTW the 404 error is gone, auction page link is working now.)
Can you not use a cashiers check or zelle from outside the US? I guess wiring money would be an option. Most international buyers have found a way around the US market only issue by using a shell within the US.

I think somewhere in this mess these auctions are separate donations. Haha I’ll check myself out.

This is what I get when I click on the Ritz 1K Auction link.

EDIT: Maybe it's not expected to work yet? I guess the point is the Auction Bidder Qualification link at the bottom?
Well.. I had to modify the old Chip Vault Site to allow for auctions. This is my first attempt. It is in testing phase.

Cashiers checks (or money orders, bank drafts, etc) are expensive to get, and expensive to send via registered mail (since you would be a fool to send one not via registered mail) not to mention inconvenient and slow.

Zelle is only available in the US, and is FREE.

I apologize @Gear and have much respect for you as a forum vendor. I think a bank wire may also be a solution but he will not cover any associated fees. Fees would be the responsibility of the buyer. NONE of these funds go directly to me so it is not my decision. The seller is my former business partner and great friend. But he is old school and very particular about how he receives payment.

Does the OP have some significant credibility with this community? I’m perplexed by this post.
Yes. He’s been selling chips here and elsewhere for a lot longer than I know.
That’s said, I don’t care for the format - donate to a charity before you have the option to buy something that hasn’t even been identified.

Thank you for the reference  . I guess I've fallen off a bit  :ROFLMAO:

Understood regarding the format. I probably wouldn't participate either ..especially if it wasn't for charity. I really just wanted to give a thank you to the original 50 that were more than generous and donated for the possibility of something that had not been identified. Based on nearly 25 years of history, I would guess that the vast majority of this stuff will be purchased by names on the original list (I may be wrong - we will see). Could have just left it at that and moved on but I also wanted to give others the opportunity with something that IS REAL without devaluing the original 50. What is real? There are CERTAINLY some of the rarest most highly sought after chips that were cherry picked in the absolute best condition from the day they left the casino vault and landed at The Chip Vault (aka Nevada Jacks). Honestly, it makes no difference to me whether any other members want to be a late add on to the list. I have nothing to gain other than more work tracking this stuff.

Having said that, there are more than a few names on that list and a few names off that list that I could have called and unloaded the entire collection and gotten top $$$ no questions asked ... but again... this auction format gives the original 50 an equal opportunity to pick up something special. I may regret it later but this is how I decided to proceed.

I may end up buying nothing from any of the sales/auctions but was still happy to donate to the charity. Seemed like a win win to me

And for people like @Gear for me personally if you were interested in an item that was being auctioned and I am not going to participate on that item I would be happy to bid in your place, handle the US payments to the chip vault and receive a payment from you for the amount however was most cost friendly for you, and settle shipment of chips to you whether it was direct from the chip vault or to me and then to you

So no PayPal? I thought PP was pretty much the PCF standard for payments. I don't have Zelle, and I'm not going to the bank and purchasing a cashier's check.

Sorry buddy.. These are not my chips although I have them all in hand. My owners sets were for the most part sold long long ago. These chips are from a close friend and former partner but he sets the rules. If going to the bank is too much for you, that will be his loss.

Many banks now offer Zelle, you may just have to activate it. If your bank really doesn't have Zelle, I'm glad to help if you win an auction; you can PayPal me and I can Zelle the seller.

Was going to offer the same to Gear for international above, but since we haven't had much dealings I figured he may not feel comfortable with that, and I assumed (and ended up being right) that another more established member would likely offer the same thing who he'd be more comfortable working with. But I can offer the same to others who may not have Zelle (or who are international).

What chip sets are included…

Can you share the chip sets that are being offered?

I won't answer further questions on the subject but I can disclose
The Ritz San Juan
Martini Club BCC
Nevada Jacks ASM
Radisson Aruba
Intercontinental
Condado Plaza CIC
Dragonara
Ambassador Plaza
maybe a couple more odds and ends

I will likely go casino by casino. disclose what is available in total. then auction off sets, racks barrels etc.

Sounds great. I hope this is watchable, even for those of us who aren’t qualified to bid.

You may be shell bidding for me  :ROFLMAO: I'm absolutely falling in love again with these chips. Haven't seen them in person for quite some time. It's breathtaking. Doesn't hurt that all of these were cherry picked for condition, denom, color etc.

Yes.. it will be live on thechipvault.com

Is the site still under construction?

I went there and it showed:
