My uncle took me the military store to restock my liquor supply.

Pickings were a little thin with Christmas and New Year’s Eve. No Blanton’s this time. It was supposed to come in yesterday, but the truck never showed sadly.

$460 worth of whiskey.

Planning for a game next week. It could be a little more wild than usual!!

Reminds me when my sister used to shop for me at the PX when her husband was in Vietnam.

Great picks!

What's a military store and why/how does it sell cheap alcohol?

Class six/BX/PX/MCX/NEX/CGX. Basically a Walmart type store/liquor store on a military base and everything is tax free.

BX - base exchange (air force)
PX - post exchange (army)
MCX - marine exchange
NEX - navy exchange
CGX - coast guard exchange

In Ohio tax on liquor is outrageously high so it is a big savings!

Not an EC fan. Leaves me with a funky aftertaste. Now the Bulleit Rye on the other hand.....well....typing under its influence right this moment. :whistling:

EC is probably my favorite within that price range.

Adam, what's a bottle of EC and Blanton cost at the BX?

Had a game last night. I wasn’t sure if it was going to happen since as of 11am yesterday I only had 4 for sure people and some “I’ll come by later after my other plans are done”

One of the guys said don’t cancel. Tell everyone the game is on and we’ll get a game off. Well it worked!!!

Well I ended up getting 10 players throughout the night, playing 8-9 handed most of the night.

Action was crazy, big stacks were moving all around.

Personally not a great night. Took some bad beats, but that happens. I was never up more than $300 and ended up with a loss of about $30.

The good news is that a couple of long time losing players had very nice nights booking solid wins. They should both be coming back for a while.

Every $5 and $25 chip I have ended up in play. Anymore rebuys would have been in $100’s.

I ended the game at 4am, we were 4 handed and they would have all played until 7am if I didn’t call it lol.

I can't believe nobody has bought this set. Absolutely amazing chips.

$1/2 Hold’em & PLO rotation. $200 min/$300 max to start or 1/2 the big stack which I used last night after only an hour lol.

We had 590 $5’s and 210 $25’s in play.
How much money In play?

Did that guy on the end come all the way from Minnesota? I’ll ride with next time.

Well aside from people potentially being afraid of losing $700-1200 in a single night, another reason you may have had trouble getting a full complement of players to show is the food choices.

Beans, cheeses, etc. I hope that poker room has one hell of an air filtration system, lol! :P

Going to mix it up and try to have a tournament this weekend. Looking like enough players for a single table PLO/PLO8 game. 15k starting stacks. 1 emergency rebuy before the first break. $60 buy in.

Hopefully get a few more people a little more comfortable with PLO games for a cheaper lesson than a cash game.

This will be the first game for The Club House tournament set.

9 players for the tournament. Fun time. I’ll probably to to do every other month or so.

I was up early but took a couple of bad beats from Hold’em players that had 2 pair turn into boats.

Playing 3 handed cash right now.

I'd love it if you had PLO8 in your cash game rotation. HOE is a great format!!! Probably one of my favorites :)

I’d love it too! Once in a while with the right mix we have either added it to rotation, or played dealer’s choice and it gets called a lot then.

Later in the night (after midnight when the high hand is paid) depending who is left we can suggest adding it to the rotation.

Great game last night. We were full by 7 and stayed that way until about midnight.

Played 4 then 3 handed until 5am. Ugh I am exhausted today!!! 2 PCF’ers made the trip from Detroit area to play and they both won.

Used the mixed set and got to put the oversized AS chips into play. Had all 160 of the $25’s and about a barrel of $100’s on the felt along with 500 $5’s.

My wife made corned beef for the first time and it turned out very well. There wasn’t a slice left.

Some pics from the game. I think they have all been posted elsewhere but I still like to keep everything here too.
