2015 WSOP! (5 Viewers)

Good fight Sean! Sometimes cards are just too cruel...

Good news: You're in Vegas!!!! ;)

It was a pretty good run though. You just can't run a marathon when the cards are as dry as a desert.

Arrival at the RIO! Cabs in the first 12 hrs of being in Vegas put me down just shy of $100! Come on UBER!

Check in at 9:30 am was pleasant! No room available so checked my bag at the valet and took in the sites, checked in for my event, and had a bite at the Hash a go go. RIO sent me a text at 11:15 letting me know my room was ready! PERFECT! Everything into my room and time to make it to my table with 5 min to spare!

Notes: Hash a GO GO was not impressive... $20 for basic breakfast (over cooked poached eggs) of which $3.99 was for coffee!

But oh well! I have a ticket!!!

I settled into my seat and, other than going out before I wanted too, I had a great time! Thought I played position well, hand selection well, and really tried to concentrate on players actions.

I will say though that cards were not helping me. But "that's poker!" and everything else about the game was enjoyable.

Was very happy when Bloody Marvelous showed up to rail for me but unfortunately at that point in the game I had my chip stack on life support!

I enjoyed this event just due to the size (approximately 1500 players).

Did not have a problem with bathroom lines or Dealers (all of which were very good and professional)... Probably because there wasn't 10,000+ plus Players running around!!!

After being eliminated Bloody and I headed over to the Gold Coast to the Ping Pang Pong and WE ate some great food AND I ordered a couple of beers and decompressed and probably mumbled a lot (still trying to figure out how I was there and not at the poker table!)

Bloody had not checked into his room yet (having beelined it to my event) so he dropped me off back at the RIO and went to his off site hotel.

Sat in on a $125 SNG and ran it to 3rd place but short of the money.

Now I think it's off to bed, recharge, and see what mischief I can get myself into tomorrow!!!

Cheers to you all and THANK YOU for "being there with me!"[emoji41]

Some pics of my day...

Great little TR Sean. Have a great time with the rest of your trip.

Couldn't find my hotel yesterday. Apparently they changed the name on June 1st. I must have been looking for 2 hours, and drove past it like a hundred times.

Got in the room, beelined for the bathroom, lay down on the bed, and was knocked out. I had a couple of minutes of sleep here and there for the past 48 hours.

Sorry Sean, I had intended to go back to the Rio.

I did not know it was possible to get a small breakfast at Hash House. I hope Ping Pang Pong was more to your liking.

What hotel were you at? I think I was unaware of any name changes of late.

Ping Pang Pong (despite the horrendously racist name) was pretty darn good. Again, as usual, I ordered the wrong thing. Sean's udon beef noodles looked much better :).

I booked with Blair House Suites, just off strip behind the Encore. They changed it to The Rita Suites.

Better luck next time Sean. What a great experience regardless. One of these days I'll have to do this myself. Enjoy the rest of your time in Sin City :)

Well, it's official sports fans. They removed the early double levels for the Dealer's Choice, added the 250/500 limits level, and doubled the first level of Day
Dagnabbit...

They just altered the 10-Game Mix schedule at the last moment, disposing of the 3 double levels and adding a 250/500 limits level as level 4. It's likely they'll do the same with the Dealer's Choice.

I'm also fearing now that the Dealer's Choice will be played with the primary WSOP chipset and not the secondary. The same as the 10-Game.

I loved the double blind levels and the thought of playing with the secondary set, but it appears they only use the secondary set for the big buy-in games now...

Still playing though of course :)
