i guess im the only one that likes the inlay. that mustache is strong.

that mark twain $1 a few posts up is probably one of my favorite $1 chips.

Tommy, can i buy one of those rugs for having the most horrible terrible set? Im mixing the other denoms too and theres a big dirt stain forming between the sliding glass door and the "poker" table.

I think you need to get some STJ primary 1s, 25, & 100s then everything will match. I have mint of all these chips. Just trade me for those secondaries and then everyone will be happy!

not feelin those STJ secondary 5s too much. i really cannot think of any other $5 chip i like more than the STJ primary.

i would like some of the MT primary .50 chips though. If any one has any for sale or would like to trade for some STJ primary .50 chips, let me know!

I have both a set of the primary and secondary STJ. First I like that they have a casino near the las vegas strip and feel this may be as close as I will get to having a Las Vegas set. The inserts are pretty good for all the chips. My favorite are the STJ secondary. Lastly the condition of my used primaries are really good for the price and the Secondary were price pretty good when I bought them.

They just opened up a Terrible's Roadhouse but don't get your hopes up... No card games or poker tables, just slot machines. I already talked to a manager lol.

Has anyone purchased the MT Primary 5's from The Chip Room recently/ in the past? They are listed as being in SU to A condition, anybody have examples (either these exact chips or others) of what they should look like condition wise?

I've been lurking here and the other site for a while and I think I'm finally ready to start putting together a set. Might start with the MT 5's (only need a rack or two of 5's) and see if I can track down a few racks of Terrible's 1's and figure something out for quarters. Will probably start throwing up some WTB as soon as I have privilege to post in classifieds.

I don't know the chip condition, but finding MT 1s is difficult and the condition is "casino used". The Terrible's St. Joe's 1s are an almost identical substitute for the MT 1, look better, and are more attainable. I'll have some of those for sale next month.

Ok good info. Yeah it seems like traking down 1s and figuring out what to do about fracs is the toughest part!

Let me know when you sell your 1s! I'm also looking around for a rack or two of quarters, either labeled as such or something I could throw some custom labels on one the set is straightened out.

If you are looking for quarters, labels are out there but i do not know who has the artwork. You'll need to find some RHC chips that you like in mint condition to handle the labels. 50cent chips are out there but they seem to sell quickly.

I think if you're not a fan of the Terrible's, you can easily find 10 nicer Paulson Casino chips.. but if you like them, then they might be up there in your list.
I like a lot of the edgespots, but the inlays don't do much for me. I don't hate them, but they are definitely cartoonish.
The St. Jo's $100s spots are nice, the Mark Twain $100s.. not so much.
For RHC, PNYs are at the top for me.. slightly better inlays than Terrible's
Also like the PNY edgespots a lot... just received some $500 primaries and $1k secondaries.. very nice in person.
Then again, PNYs, don't do it for some people, so they would prefer something else.
I usually like a larger inlay on the RHC.. I think the smaller inlays visually look better on the THC.. maybe just because the outer ring offsets the gap in the inlay area, where you don't have that with the RHC.
