Been watching it on my Bravo Live Poker App and they consistently get two tables of 3/6 Omaha hi/lo full-ring cash games going. I can only imagine at how terribad the players at those stakes must be. Most likely hitting it for Saturday evening. And one of these Sundays I want to check out their deepstack NL tourney.

Anyone else frequent there?

I know how soul crushing the players are at 4/8 Omaha 8 at Live! I can't even imagine playing 3/6 in Tampa, where the average age is probably 83. Have fun!

When they ran a 4/8 with a HK at Foxwoods it was usually pretty fantastic and profitable. When they changed it to 5/10 it became less so. So I'm guessing the 3/6 game will play with 5+ players to a flop regularly, at least that's my hope

Everyone will call preflop, that's not the issue. The slow rolling with the nuts and bitterness when getting sucked out on will be off the charts, however.

So what you're saying is there will be free entertainment, FANTASTIC! I'm looking forward to it, I frigging LOVE O8 and up in Connecticut they rarely got the table to go because all the nits would show up and start crying "I'm not playing 5-handed, I don't want to play if I can't get the 10-seat, etc" and now I'm 15 minutes away (instead of 1.25 hours) and it's regularly showing two tables going.

Trust me, you'll still get those same guys not wanting to play five handed or bitching about their seat. That 's universal in the low-stakes world of O8. Just avoid the coffee being thrown at you after you "suck out" on someone with a nut flush/straight combo draw against someone who had bottom two pair and you should be ok.

no idea about florida, but the $6/12 OE game at parx often has at least half a table of young, fun, gambling guys. they usually have 3 tables on the weekends and there's usually one bad table among them, but i'd say the great bulk of the time i play the game it's a good crowd.

at borgata, the $10/20 O8 game is not as young and gambly and fun. usually the must move is a good time because you have a good run of casual players come in and blow through a rack or two then get up, but the main game is more often irritable, unfriendly dicks.

I don't know, Jack. In my experience playing O8 (probably a smaller sample size than yours) there is an inverse correlation between stake size and boorish behavior. The opposite is true in NLHE btw.

Sorry I didn't mean to imply anything with relation to the stakes. I think of those as essentially the same game in the sense that they are each the lowest game in their respective rooms.

I only meant to say that there seem generally to be some younger guys on occasion coming into some O8 games and that the tenor of the game can fluctuate based on the casino more so than it used to.

I heard they sometimes get a 6/12 game going as well. I'm generally comfortable up to 20/40 but ain't afraid to "slum it" in the 3/6 game :p

That's a valid point, but I would imagine the average age of a Parx player is about half the average age of a Tampa hard Rock player.

I played this game last Nov and this was exactly it, on a Fri night no less. Mostly because 9pm was waaay past their bedtime and they were cranky. Super nit fest. I think when I left at 11 pm, the game collapsed.

Well that would certainly be disappointing, guess I'll find out tonight.

Played tonight, they had two tables going. Was a good mix of young, middle aged and old people. The first table had a lot of banter, plenty of terrible players and was the source of a lot of early profit for me.

However, at a dealer change the guy deals me a winner the first hand he sits down, and proceeds to cooler me on three hands pretty close to each other, for fairly large pots. Eventually I'm moved to the main game which had a few grumpy, middle-aged regs in it.

A hand or two after I sit down the dealer discovers an Ace and a deuce have been bent/folded in the middle, someone at the table has been marking cards. A floorperson is called over to replace the setup. I notice one scummy looking guy at the other end of the table and his body language changes immediately as the marked cards are discovered, he turns his body away from the dealer and table and starts paying attention to stuff away from the table.

Pretty sad someone feels desperate enough to cheat at a 3/6 limit game, but then again people cheat online at FREE games with just a leaderboard/bragging rights at stake, so I guess I shouldn't be surprised.

Also, unbeknownst to me, the 3/6 game is a full kill and they also sometimes get a 6/12 game going that is also full kill.

Anyway, had a fun night, was up a couple hundred bucks at one point but I'm rusty and played a few hands badly, got coolered on a few others and wound up only walking away +$34 after four hours at the table.

Dealers were far more competent at dealing O8 than they were at Foxwoods (those jerkoffs were jokes) and the waitresses and massage girls were all pretty hot too (unlike up at Foxwoods)

Regular drinks are free, but if you want booze it's not. Comps on your players card are like 60 cents/hr.

Played again tonight. Game broke up around 2am, cashed out for a profit of $173 for four hours of play at the 3/6 O8 with a full kill. Plenty of weak spots, a few solid regs but enough dorks in there with garbage to make it profitable.

Our table almost got the high hand for one of the 30 minute sessions. Lady had quad 3's and then maybe 2-4 minutes before the time was up someone hit a straight flush somewhere else (otherwise she gets $400)
