Harold's Smoke Shop - ASM Labeled Semi-Customs (6 Viewers)

Me too. I had them milled to label but decided against it without really trying. I still have another 100 I didn't mill that I may later since I found out they don't take hotstamps well.

If you decide to get rid of them let me know please :D I may add on or add another denom later just for comfort of having more chips.

It's because my printer/cutter suddenly died, and my service rep STILL hasn't gotten it fixed after seven weeks.

I didn't want to say anything publicly about it and potentially cause any harm to your business.

They are the same yellow but a shade darker than the others. I think they are pre ASM and are a different formula also. I paid a bit more for them than the others.

The carousel arrived over the weekend, I do really like it and the red accent is a nice touch since the labels will have red denoms.

The only problem is that it doesn't spin on a hard table. I won't know whether or not that's an issue until after the set is given, but I have a backup plan just in case.

23 chips fit per slot, so a total of 276 chips (92 per denom.) That would allow a few extras for sample sets for other members of the family, and we could use another case for the additional rack of nickels to be brought out as needed.

I picked these up on eBay to go with the set. They're bridge size so they are a little more difficult to get out of the carousel.

Bridge size is the same height as normal cards, but more narrow. Unless the cards sit in there sideways, they should be easier to get out.

They do :)

They sit below where the finger cutouts are, so I have to lift them a little from the side to push them up enough to grab. Poker size would make them a little taller when sitting in the carousel sideways.

A strip of foam or similar at the bottom of the hole will take care of that ...

I never claimed to be smart  :ROFLMAO:

This is a great idea. I also have another carousel on the way that may hold more chips (has 16 slots but I'm not sure on the depth) but this will definitely work if I decide on using this one. Thanks!

Carousel number 2 came today. This is how it looked when I pulled it from the box

Luckily the chips are worthless. I'll update later once I try it out with this set.

Despite being in a bit rougher shape and being covered in cat hair and interlocking plastic chips upon arrival, this is the carousel that'll be going with the set.

It has 16 barrels that hold 23 chips each, for a total of 368 of the 395 chips. That leaves me with extras for sample sets for other members of the family plus a few spares. I'm pretty excited that I found a carousel this large, I haven't seen very many of them.

It also fits the cards perfectly without any modification, and has a top (which is pretty beat up, but at least provides some protection.)

Excuse the awful photo, I didn't feel like moving everything to a more well-lit area.

Now all that is left are the labels!

The labels have been printed and should be en route shortly. I'm having some family over this weekend, so it'd be amazing if they showed up before Saturday night so the chips can be presented and used. I do realize that's unlikely though.

I'm pretty excited to wrap this project up (...probably so I don't feel as bad about starting a new one...)

Lots of fun following your progress. Everything's looking great. Excited to see the final product!

The labels appear to be delayed again. They were shipped out last week and originally scheduled to arrive yesterday. The date was pushed back to today without any updates on the tracking number. My mail has come for the day already and no labels. The last update still says "Inbound Out of Customs" on 4/23 and a new delivery date has not been given.

It's a good thing I'm such a patient person. Oh, wait. I'm the opposite of that thing I just said.

Canada / US post is the worst. I've gotten packages from Europe in less time. While it's not exciting news to you, I'm happy to know that Gear is back up and running!

The labels came today and they should all be applied tonight. The set will be given as a gift for my wife's parents tomorrow when we get together.

I've only labeled 8 of each chip right now, and those will be the sample sets given out to other members of my wife's family.

Thanks to @Gear for the artwork, and obviously the high quality labels.
