You do not speak for the masses, no matter how “middle class” you think you are. You parrot what you cherry pick to support whatever version of America you may hold in your head.

Yes, I would say I’m successful. Extremely lucky. American dream as it were. I am that kid who grew up in poverty to a single mom with no college degrees on either side of my family. Moved and changed schools over 15 times.

Fast forward and end of the story is a beautiful, ultra talented wife that dwarfs all of my own capabilities, 2 brilliant, sensitive children, and was successful in my own endeavors and did what I set out to do, starting a company that solved a problem for people, created jobs for others, and successfully exited (I worked a little hard, my wife has worked as hard as any human I’ve ever met, but is also the smartest human I’ve ever met).

Now as I figure out what the next round of life will be, I donate my time to our local town and school and sports programs.

I’m not sure what in my story prevents me from speaking up on access to basic needs, difficulties that current and future generations face, housing crises/shortage, or any similar topics. I believe that you can do well, and still be mindful, empathetic, and understanding.

It sure seem like someone’s crying about others being successful and gate keeping that someone in a certain financial bracket can’t care about those in others. Pretty sure I’m allowed to care about humans regardless of tax bracket I or they are in. What a sad view of life.

I am afraid I have misjudged you. All those times when you disappeared for long stretches - you weren’t absconding with chips or money, you were in Africa digging water wells and had no way to communicate!

He’s simply not well socialized enough to participate like a normal person on a forum. As Barrie put it early. It’s WEIRD. I mean this is a guy claiming to be a grown man with all this experience and yet we have a raging child with no ability to engage in cool-headed discussion and no interest in it either.

I’m sure a jury of his peers would find that his comments are more frequently negative/detract from the thread than anyone else on here. His extreme combativeness is childish and embarrassing and detrimental to this community.

I have heard from a number of folks that he is pleasant in person. We met briefly once but not in a social context so I can’t comment. But Kevin’s presence of PCF is deeply deleterious to the site.
