Ranch Agave Porch Pirate Fundraiser (2 Viewers)

There is no way an insurance claim for this loss is worth it in the long-term game of your insurance rates. Even with a small deductible. Your premiums will go up.

Home deductibles should be $5-$10K.
This. I believe trying to recover relatively small-value items through renter's or homeowner's insurance is not advisable. I've been told by an insurance pro that it's really only worth it on high-value theft (high-end Rolex, Fabrege egg, two full racks of mint Vineyard $500s, etc.). I had jewelry yanked from an apartment once, but it was explained plainly to me that the increased insurance costs would ultimately be way more than my stuff was worth.

Same with auto, but some lenders require a $500 deductible. Otherwise you should be $2500 or so.

Just as a PSA, Canada Post has an off-the-shelf PO box solution called FlexDelivery that you can access immediately and for free by making and ID verifying an account on their website/app. I use it to get almost all of my packages delivered to my local post office for pickup now. As an added bonus, it doesn't expose your address if you're buying from someone you don't know very well.

Obviously it's a bit late for this scenario, but if it's news to anyone it might prove useful for transactions to and within Canada.

Also I'm sorry to hear about your situation, it's an uncomfortable sum to be out any way you slice it. I sent a small donation, hopefully you don't end up taking too big of a hit here.

I will leave this for the weekend and then for those that have helped do a draw for a light box of your choice.

I barrel of t500 rat chips $120 value
$415 Usd
$350.70 CAD ($245.48 when run through pp to USD)

These will be mailed from the US side on Thursday.
Two barrels of T500 that were not lost going to the buyer $240 value

For what its worth Canada Post tells you exactally when a package is delivered, via email. Today when my gear labels were dropped off at my door, I got an instant email and could grab it. Next time consider signing up for that service and being quick to grab it and not let it sit.

How about we just be adults and ship responsible and provide safe spots for shipments? I’m not paying for others stupidity or lack of planning. It’s a scary world out there with no safety nets. Act appropriately.
I understand your position, and I often say something similar to my children, but this is a stance where the blame is shifted from the perpetrator to the victim. It’s something like, “You wouldn’t have been raped if you hadn’t worn that short skirt.”
It is impossible to foresee everything.

Is the fundraising still ongoing?

Always the victim card for you people. Never take responsibility for anything because you are always the victim.

Don’t be a victim. Take precautions. Be aware that you live in a real world, not a fantasy paradise inside your head. Nobody acts like they are “supposed” to because YOU kind of people make tragic and stupid assumptions about how people should ideally behave.

Or fuck it, go through life whining that you are a “victim”. Nobody wants that around.

Your stupid hyperbolic argument is the same as saying “it’s not the murder’s fault, if the gun manufacturer hadn’t made the gun and the dealer hadn’t sold the gun, this guy wouldn’t have committed murder so it’s their fault for providing the weapon, not his fault he used it inappropriately.”

Rapists are liable for their actions no matter how much you want to free them
