1000 chip case recommendations (2 Viewers)

An acrylic birdcage works well if you’re not traveling with it. Also clear which is nice for some.

Some chippers like buying something a bit more robust and forming the foam mold to fit their chips. This case from Harbour freight is well priced and usually can fit 1000 chips. But you’ll have to cut/pull the foam yourself. Getting some Justin Racks from Broken Arrow make it easier to store chips in either style

Second the Apache 3800. Carries 1000 39mm chips or 800 43mm chips. Its my main case and I have the 5800 for bulk storage. That thing holds 1500-1700 43mm chips but weighs a ton.

Depending on the purpose of your 1000pc set I will recommend these racks and tubes. I might be a little bias here though (I make and sell these). The aluminum tubes are great for protection and come in 34 chip and 50 chip size. The racks come in several sizes and configurations from 8-12 tubes round to rectangle. The plastic tubes can be nice to show the chips and are cheaper (1$ each) than the aluminum counterpart. The plastic tube I sell are thicker and can hold up to 44mm chips. The aluminum only hold up to 40mm chips. Tubes are also great for counting out buy ins and rebuys advance to keep games going at a good pace.

Holds. 1100 chips

Versa Case. $69.99 plus shipping so around $99

Pros:
holds a lot of chips
Thin profile, easy to store
Pretty rugged
Nice to see all the chips at once.

Cons:
Latches seem flimsy and easy to pop open
Somewhat heavy with 1100 chips
Can’t open and put on small side table like the pelican style smaller 6-800 chips cases.
Doesn’t have shoulder strap.
Needs minor modification to get all the racks in there ( remove factory foam/ inserts etc.)

If I keep it I’ll probably have a canvas carry bag made for the case to go on. That will elevate the worry of latches popping open. And I could add shoulder straps to that.

All said and done. 6.9/10 Recommend with reservations.

I ended up going for the versa suitcase style case. It’s fairly heavy with chips and holds exactly 1,088 chips but honestly it’s great and the handle seems solid.

Being that I have the box style case of this brand, I can appreciate yours as it has additional storage which the box does not.

is there anyone in the US that sells these?
No, have to get them from Australia or the Chinese supplier.

FYI, the price on the Jack’s website is in Australian dollars so it’s a little cheaper once converted to USD.

how tall are these tubes?

If you are holding 43mm chips it will only hold 41chips because of the lid but I can send you some printed lids to get it back up to 43 chips
