Sports Trash Talk (19 Viewers)

Betting on the NFL is ridiculous. In a family pick'em league, just pick the winners considering a point spread. I haven't had a single thought about it for 3 years, not one thought, just picked the favorite for every single game for 3 years. I've come in 2nd out of 13, then tied for 1st, and I'm tied for 1st again this year going in to week 6.

I've half-watched a handful of games all season and am 6 games up on cousins that watch every game without fail.

Philly is going to do that poor kid dirty Like they did Mitch Williams 30 years ago. Wild Thing threw a great pitch to Joe Carter, slider down and in.
 
That being said I’ve watched a lot of KC.

It’s a system - from ownership, to coaches, to fans, to city. An exceptional organization run exceptionally well.

I’d like to see someone breakdown an objective comparison of stats regarding Mahomes - ie his skill players’ average separation per play/pass, the amount of expected interceptions based on placement, % of on/off target throws, defensive impact, etc.

He is tantalizing to watch, has made simply amazing throws, and is one of the best utilizing his feet.

That being said, I don’t have him goated. I’ve seen far too many games where you could plug and play any of the top 10 qbs in the league and they’d do just as fine.

Nothing wrong with being a “system” guy, but he’s no Brady or LeBron. Hes an all time great, but will never remotely approach the goat conversation for me.

Now back to watching my team get absolutely demolished.

Edit - careers not over. Idk, if the man ends up with a championship ring on every single finger and undefeated season, at that point maybe you just crown him and the whole stupid team as goats.

It's a long season, but after beating the #1 team in the country, on the road, twice, there's a new #1 team.

Update on picking favorites: I'm up 3 games on the closest cousin, sole possession of 1st place and have watched 1 full game in the last 8 weeks.
 
Gotta brag on my daughter’s high school football team. Made the 5A semifinal for the second year in a row. Lost last year to the four-time champions in a very close game. Avenged that loss in the regular season and post season this year, and took down the #2 team in the state on Friday night in a dominating win. 31-15 final score, only allowing a defensive TD and a garbage time TD. Playing for the school’s first state football title next week. Go Bolts! ⚡️⚡️⚡️

I sincerely hope that Maxx Crosby demands a trade at the offseason.

He shouldn’t even suit up for another game this year.

Mark Davis is the worse owner I’ve seen in sports, and I’m a Clippers fan (Donald Sterling).
 
Am I the only one that surprised by both the Cowboy and Bengal defenses tonight? I seriously replaced my contact lenses because I can't believe it

Really? Chiefs have been all over the place all year. Same as Ravens. Unless you were actually due for a contact lens replacement I'd say you haven't been watching the NFL this year at all.

Exactly. Although I didn't see Texas or BYU turning down bowl offers. Somebody is going to get excluded that thinks they should be in EVERY year. Suck it up, Buttercup. Talk is cheap. Get your revenge on the field. This is a REALLY bad look for the university.

Just putting this out as well. I'm highly disappointed in Iowa State, the team I follow most closely, for also backing out of the bowls. I realize the coaching change played a factor, but feel like they still should have been able to field a team.

In other news, after demolishing #1 Purdue on their home court!

I'm actually pretty excited about him. I knew Campbell wouldn't stay forever. Rogers reminds me a lot of 10 years ago Campbell.
