Artwork was originally due 6 months ago today.
Where are we now, @Okku? Cards were in production July 17 and were supposed to take 8-10 days to complete.
On August 6, you were expecting delivery and estimating cards would be out in two weeks. That was yesterday.
Have the cut cards been delivered to you?
Has reshipping started?
What is the time frame? Has it been revised from the last estimate?
It seems dates are set and blown through and nobody cares. Just looking for a realistic expectation of when these will be delivered.
I care. I check here every day but people don’t seem to be fans of having reasonable expectations and I don’t want to get passive aggressive remarks from the crowd so I keep my mouth shut

Like everyone else, we can applaud Okku for taking this on, I don’t think anyone would say it’s easy. But I think we have all seen group buys, the majority of them, with much clearer communication, deadlines, and expectations. Stuff comes up in everyones’ life, however at the same time we’ve all given money and exercised more than a reasonable amount of patience, despite what I’m sure all of us would say is a timeline that has stretched far beyond what was initially anticipated. There are international group buys from China that have moved significantly faster than this. If the artwork was the big holdup, at any time I’m sure Okku could have reached out to those with the problematical artwork or experienced forum members to resolve the issue. When things arose that delayed the timeline, especially the 3rd, 4th, 5th times, perhaps handing the group buy off to another individual would have been the appropriate thing to do.
At the end of the day the most frustrating part of this is the fact that the cycle of setting expectations, disappearing until someone calls it out, reappearing, and apologizing has repeated itself so many times, and that each time we all express understanding only to be burned again. It’s not about the “little plastic cards” or the money (although some of us actually do care about where our money goes and don’t just shrug it off), it’s about the principle of the whole thing.

I am correct in assuming that production is complete, seeing as it started more than a month ago?
Am I correct in assuming the cut cards have been delivered to you, seeing as you were expecting delivery earlier this month, more than 2 weeks ago?

- Yes @Okku was online Thursday after I made my post asking for updates. In fact, he was on 3 minutes ago.

This is the real update.
I've been working with the printers to get things right with the proofs even up until now. I'm currently working on approving the final set of proofs which I will be receiving Monday morning. If they are all correct, I am sending them into production. Hopefully that is Monday/Tuesday. Once production is started, I was told that it would be approximately 8-10 business days with some days added for shipping. Assuming that nothing goes wrong with production and shipping I should receive them the first week of Sept. Have everything out that week and you should have them by the middle of Sept. I'll be sending larger orders via faster shipping, smaller ones via Ground Advantage.
I'll keep updating next week as soon as I receive the proofs and will update as soon as they are fully put into production and approved.

I don’t have a big order but these cut cards are the last piece in my custom set up, which is important to me. if these cards aren’t gonna come I would like to know so I can try to get some somewhere else. I don’t want to buy the same thing twice if they are really gonna come. But I don’t want to wait forever only to find out that it was for nothing and I gotta start over.
So at this point this update here is basically confirming now that you’ve lied. Agreed that this is a big ask on this gb and I think we can all be understanding of your personal life, that does and should come first.
But you flat out lied at this point. You said you were just waiting on shipping for them to arrive and that everything was in production. That evidently wasn’t true at all and nothing is/was in production still. That’s the part a lot of us have issues with. You need to stop with the games and giving fake updates just because you think it’s what people want to hear. Or just go through your list and start refunding everyone’s money

If you haven't had time to devote to this because of your personal life, I'm fine with that explanation. I know how much it sucks to have a big task ahead of you and how easy it can be to blow it off. I'm not saying you're doing that, but I know that feeling.
I'd rather be told you haven't touched the GB in x days because you needed time to decompress, or you had whatever going on in your personal life. Whatever the excuse is fine, as long as it's the truth.
Also, if true (I have to use that caveat now), I love that you are making sure everyone's artwork is perfect, so they get the cut cards they thought they were getting. That's not part of your job of running a GB, but it is immensely appreciated. I have a small order, but I'd be disappointed if it didn't print right, even if it was because theor was a problem with the artwork I submitted.

They’re cut cards man. Not worth much, certainly not worth your reputation. Pretty sure most of us, if not all of us are grown-ups on here. And I’d say we’re capable of putting the status of a cut card GB delay, ready date, shipping status (or lack thereof) in the appropriate “priority in life” category.

I can't say I'm surprised. I asked for proof that the order was actually placed. What we got was an image of something that pretty much amounted to a hand-drawn stick man done in crayon passed as photo id. No dates. Just an order number.
Pretty fuckin sad. At the very least @Okku should hand over the order info to somebody else to finish up this debacle and @Tommy should get involved.

Trust me, Oscar will fulfill the order. You will get the cut cards. He clearly was over his head w the amount of work and It was unfortunate timing for his current life. He was trying to please everyone with erroneous updates. Not saying it was right, and yes you have been misled, but he won’t disappear w anyone’s money.
I do believe he placed the order and paid for it. I don’t think a company would have worked with him for this long to get the order right without having received funds at some point. Not saying it’s okay that he lied multiple times about the cut cards being on their way but I highly doubt the entire thing was a lie.

I'm not saying it's a lie either. But posting a picture of the PDF shown as a link in his image would have done far more to show what the truth was. I get these things can blow up. Lord knows with the huge amount of GBs I've run, a few were nightmares. The difference is that I refused to feed lines of utter bullshit to people. Again, the "BeReal" avatar is ironic.

agree 100%. None of me thinks he stiffing anyone. My only ask is to be honest, just let everyone know repeatedly all the work that’s been done and that revision after revision has been needed. That part is understandable. The ONLY part that I’ve been unhappy with is the false dates and status’s that were clearly not accurate. Okku, again, with all the bs we are throwing at you today, no hard feelings, just be honest with it all, that’s all we’re asking. Your family is more important than some cut cards, but just be transparent. And I do realize it appears you were again transparent already this morning so that part is appreciated
I think there are plenty of displeasures, plenty of people sticking up for him. We are all repeating the same thing as of today. He thankfully gave about as an honest of an update in the last 24 hours.

See that’s the thing, he’s come clean and given honest updates multiple times over the past 7 months that turned out to be false. Is it reasonable at this point to turn the group buy over to someone else? It doesn’t matter if they’re just cut cards, we all placed our order with an expectation of a timeline and it hasn’t been met time and again. We can’t just keep saying “they’ll come” forever, that isn’t fair to anyone.
No it’s not reasonable to turn over the group buy. Would be much more time and work and more delays.
These usually (cut card GB) take 3 months. Right when it should have been finished he had some significant life changes. Then came the false hope. Dude got behind and anxiety/procrastination/life and death got to him. He offered hope bc he’s been a rock solid chipper his entire life. He didn’t want to admit he was behind. (All my assumptions, I’m not in this group buy, but Oscar has helped me a bunch over the last 5 years).
If you want a refund PM him, and place an order elsewhere I would suggest. Otherwise we all just keep repeating ourselves.
But it does matter they are just cut cards. Plastic cut cards. He’s not a vendor. Your livelihood doesn’t change. Just PM for a refund and move on if it’s harming you this much.
He has apologized. He appears to trying to make it right. And he has had significant real life changes that frankly would have for most of us completely exited the hobby. I think the hobby however is helping keep his mind busy.
There is like 200 different designs and 3k+ ccs… quality control before placing the order and quality control during production… x the companies typical clientele… I would expect at minimum a few months to get all of them sorted out and shipped. Doing a GB myself I figured it would be 3-6 months before receiving the product for reshipping. He most likely guesstimated dates to keep people happy and unfortunately they ran into issues along the way and he wasn’t sure how to communicate this… I would just say be patient as he has the weight of the production, your money, life, and his reputation on the line… shet gets heavy quick… <3
