Thank you for your understanding everyone! Much appreciated because putting together kickstarters is a rather stressful process and I want visibility to everyone when it comes to budgeting for shipping, taxes so to minimize any surprises for myself and especially you. I know Kickstarter will collect sales tax from U.S. backers and remit it to the right tax bureaus. What I am waiting on still is Kickstarter's reply concerning VAT, which may come tomorrow or the following day.

I don't know what the tariffs will look like for you guys due to the chaos surrounding them, so really just trying to help you out with budgeting with what info that I can provide.

Here is what I will accomplish this evening:

• Adding in estimates for shipping for certain regions (Canada, Australia, Rest Of The World, U.S.) so that you have an idea for shipping when you go to place your pledge. For EU and UK, the estimates were coming in about the same for various countries so it is in the Rest of the World category. The campaign is set to show these estimates but not count the shipping towards the funding goal. This will also be noted in the campaign itself.

• Checking rewards' verbiage again since I am adding shipping estimates.

More tomorrow, hopefully.

Brilliant idea and I think that size index is so perfect.

Sadly no response yet from Kickstarter. I did spend a little more time finessing things like photos and verbiage tonight and will do a little more tweaking tomorrow in hopes of having my question answered.

I think the old fonts were better... A, Q and J... definitely Q and J were unique/different in old fonts... I am sure you had good reasons to change them.. looking forward to getting hands-on

@desjgn My opinion is that Kickstarter will not be involved in calculating/collecting tariff fees. That will happen at the carrier level as overseas orders hit their border.

I think Kickstarter is not responding as likely someone is being coached to not say anything for sake of liability.

I think you should proceed with the campaign. International orderers will likely know what to expect. Or limit it to US-only and people can run/manage their own group buys for international orders and/or use their US mules they already have in place.

The above are just my thoughts. I am not claiming to have even understood the barriers and I am not an expert. But, I do deal with some limited international shipments of large equipment as part of my job.

Fair points there @extreme517. I actually got a reply and have been doing some follow up questions. It is true that they will not be involved with the tariff collection or that aspect. My questions have been around VAT and how much they will take care of it and what, if any, liability will be on my end. They have been good now to get back to me so hopefully tomorrow I will have all the info I need.

Hi everyone. I am still trying to align everything up logistics-wise and had hoped to have more dialogue with Kickstarter but that has not happened yet. I know waiting for this launch is a little annoying for all of us, but I want to have a smooth start to finish and not have any surprises along the way for customers as well as myself. I have a phone call early Wednesday morning that I am hopeful in receiving the answers to the VAT questions I have which hopefully will lead to finally going live. I will update you all on Wednesday.
