I Love It GIF

Yes. I understand what you were saying it is. I just didn't know that it existed. Sounds like it's very hard to find and expensive. What's new...

That'll do...

You're on quite a run lately!
Fortunately poker has been good so I can cover it all :wtf: but yeah it's been a really good month or two of finding stuff.
And what's this OF BS rye? I was unaware of that one. OF 100 is my favorite house rye for cocktails, and OF BS single barrel is an amazing bourbon. So now I guess I have a new bottle to chase.
It's fantastic. @Saoliver sent me a sample for Christmas '22 and it was #2 out of 11 for me. Hoping the whiskey run good continues and I can find a reasonably priced bottle.

What came in first? I just watched a video from Mash & Drum. He put the OF BS up against 4 other very solid ryes. It came in a very, very close second to JD SB BP. I can buy that at my local TW for $69. I've been hearing that both the Jack BPs were good, so I may have to try that one, since it's on the shelf.

If you love JD rye, stick to it. It’s great. But I prefer OF. It just hits so good.

EHT Rye for me. Handy in 3rd (going to be revisiting this vs EHT this week). I believe Barrell Seagrass Silver was 4th, and Smoke Wagon Malted Rye 5th. After that I don't remember, but there was Stellum, New Riff, Old Pepper, Obtanium, Alberta Premium, and I can't remember the last one in there. It was a great Christmas haha! I don't have a lot of selection for Rye locally so take my opinion with a grain of salt, before these I had only owned a bottle of Willet, High West, and regular Sazerac for Ryes.

Hell of a lineup! You’re living the dream man

My lineups for when I’m wet again:

March 1st
Old Pepper FKO rye
Parker’s 10yr rye
Old Overholt 10yr rye
OF BS rye
Handy

March 2nd
Michter’s 10yr bourbon
James E Pepper Decanter
4R LE 2022
EHT BP
Blanton’s Gold
What are you paying for the M10 bourbon? My favorite and I'm down to less than half a bottle...

1792 FP is still one of my favorites when considering price…so I’m going to go with the long shot here and put my money on:
1792 Full Proof John o's Pick!!

I don’t need to win…I just hope to make it past the first round LOL!!
bold pick with this lineup

So the bad news is that I didn’t cash in either of the two WSOP Cherokee events I played in this weekend (happy to have beat 1/2 the field in both though).
Good news is they have JD Barrel Proof lining the shelves in NC, so will be coming home with some conciliation prizes!!!
Take advantage of that while you can! I have pretty much unlimited access right now to both the BP whiskey and rye in my neck of the woods of NC, but it hasn’t always been that way. There was a long drought for it from early 22 all the way up to about fall of 23. I certainly hope it stays readily available…they’re both favorites of mine! I stocked up on both just in case.

I agree…plastic cap Brown Forman ET BiB was fantastic especially when you factor in the price, but to me it’s not close to the same level as Alberta Premium Cask.
There is a store by me that had Alberta for $41 a bottle. It wasn't my thing, so I passed on it. If anyone local to me wants one or 2, let me know and I can pick it up. @Highli99 @Cliff

yeah. Again, not in my flavor profile. Thankfully, we have several options, right !!?!?!?! :)

A friend said this to me about a decade or so ago. It has always stuck with me. "If we all liked the same thing, it would be a boring as place to live".

I love that shit. It is mostly unavailable around here. When I do find it. It is two to three times that price.

I was paying anywhere between $70-80 a bottle for it when I first found it. My closest and most frequented ABC store put it on clearance last fall for $40 and I grabbed their last 3. Great price for sure but it also means they won’t order it anymore because apparently I was the only one buying it  :ROFLMAO:

I didn't have a problem paying $75 a bottle for it. I just can't find it :( I love it. Every sip is like a circus in your mouth lol

Assuming it's the cask strength version (they do have a "regular" Alberta Premium), grab a bunch for @Cliff for old fashions lol.

It's available around here pretty regularly now, usually like $70. At $40 a pop I'd never have a non-Alberta old fashion again :D

If you’re an old fashion fan, you have no idea what you’re missing if you haven’t had one made with the AP Cask! If you have, you know exactly what I’m talking about :cool
