Seinfeld: The Twin Towers (spec script) (1 Viewer)

If you don't know what a spec script is, it's a script used by would-be television writers to demonstrate their skill in writing in the voice of a popular show. So it doesn't much matter if a show is off the air or even if the script is set in a slightly different time period. A writer looking for work will shop around a script that is written in the style of, say, Full House, with the understanding that the exact script will never be made, but that producers will see his ability to give voice to an established franchise.

There have been a lot of infamous spec scripts circulated some because they were remarkably great, some because they were remarkably horrible, and some because they were purported to be written by now-famous writers/directors before they made it.

Yesterday a comedy writer name Billy Domineau uploaded his own spec script for a Seinfeld episode set in the immediate wake of the attacks of September 11. Nothing really more to say other than it is as ludicrous and hilarious as you might hope.

He gets the tone of all the characters, but he shines particularly well writing for George and in the eccentric quality of the Jerry storyline.

There aren't many times when I actually laugh out loud based on something from this Board, but this made me laugh through the whole 22 minutes (isn't that how long a sitcom is??)
