I'm not sure if this is the right place for this. Please advise if not.

A buddy can pick these up for me and I could get them for about a dime (update: $0.12) each.
Am I looking at too much effort to remove one side and hot stamp something new?

Thank you!

You can most likely clean these up and then restamp them. Especially at that price you can’t go wrong.

Interesting how some look very good,

And some have worn down to almost the outer ring:

Either way, get ‘em for .10 each.
I feared the same. I was worried they would be drastically different sizes.
I'm still thinking I can get away with picking and choosing the best and making a fun custom cash set for a single table.

Seriously though how do I go about fixing these? Is there someone on PCF that does it as a service, or is this a long process I'm about to drive into?

@Josh Kifer is your man

I wish I could stumble upon a deal like this. Nice score.
It starts as a nice deal then you're into them some drastic amount filling out the set, and having them customized.
I've already learned how quickly the sickness creeps in. I'm over here telling my wife it's ok because I'll sell extra cars for this new habit.

Short of a better photo, I'm not 100% sure that's a worn edge more than it's a dirty chip and a mediocre photograph. My guess is this would clean up and look on par with the rest. Maybe a spilled drink or filthy players made it this way??

Regardless, easy pickup for a dime each. Nice find, and let us know how these look once they arrive and after a cleaning.

(NOTE, these are likely ASM chips though maybe very well used CPCs. Be careful when cleaning as anything more harsh than dish soap will make these dissolve in the bath. No heavy detergents, no alcohol and no ultrasonic unless you want a purple puddle of sadness).

This is excellent information. Thank you!

I have an ultrasonic cleaner and I would have absolutely dumped them in there.

I'm working with Josh and kricket to make sure I don't screw this up.

There are lots of threads on here for cleaning help. You might even consider milling them to remove the old stamp. Since they are cheap chips and you have a lot of them, if you're reasonably handy, it's pretty easy to put together your own milling rig for way less than the cost of paying to have them milled. And like cleaning, there are a couple of threads on here that can walk you through the process.

Clean these up, maybe look at having the milled, into some nicely colored ASM solids for around 70-80 cents a piece plus a little time. That seems like a pretty good deal. Looking forward to seeing more pictures.

Milling and labeling these seem a bit expensive imo. Worth picking them up for 10c each, but might not be worth the extra cost of milling and labeling imo considering their worn condition.. I dunno. Would a $2/4 limit cash set be of use to you? If so these are pretty decent as is with the $1 stamp.
