Sitting Out
I'm about to purchase a set of Outlaw Poker chips from discount poker.com and I was hoping to get some opinions on the chips.
They look cool, but you definitely want samples of different types. The feel of chips is just as important as the look, you want to be comfortable with them before buying hundreds. Good luck, have fun!I'm about to purchase a set of Outlaw Poker chips from discount poker.com and I was hoping to get some opinions on the chips.
Yep. Smooth edges, and the material seemed softer, and not so slick (other than the pink 5000's). But they stacked well and felt good.Definitely get samples before making any kind of set purchase but IMHO, these are great chips for the money. There is no annoying "flashing" on the edges (or very little) and the chips feel pretty good (a little heavy compared to real casino weight but decent feel overall). I only bought a few barrels a few years ago but was impressed with them. As @Beakertwang mentioned above, I also have a cash set of the Monacos from the same place and really like those for the money as well. They do seem to be of the same material which is great imo.

PmedWhat breakdown are you thinking of? I have a small set (a rack each of $25, $100, $500) that I'd be willing to sell for $48 (16¢/chip) + $10 shipping. Never put into play (I bought to use as a tournament set but my core poker group doesn't like playing tournaments).
Agree with all the advice given above, but if you do decide to go ahead and buy a set of these and what I have works for you, let me know.
