Anyone recommend where to buy some padded folding chairs at a good price? I have been looking and seems like the avg price is roughly $100 for a set of 4. Looking for better pricing if it exists.

I could use 10 or so.

Thanks,
Kyle

Might be able to find them a bit cheaper at Costco or Sam's Club.

We loaded up on chairs from Sam's Club for a pretty good price. Personally, the most comfortable folding chair though is a large vented plastic chair (also from Sam's). My recommendation, go to Sam's/Costco et al. and sit on the chairs to try them out yourself. Even better if you are of larger size, as some of my players are - not all folding chairs are built the same.

Are these comfy? Looks a little low in the padding for some of my "heavier" buds.

We have 1 of those exact chairs as well. I wouldn't want to sit on it for a marathon session, but we run 4.5-5 hour tournaments with frequent breaks and it works fine for that.

I like the padding but I would prefer vinyl so I can wipe the nachos off the fatties chairs.

I've always wanted to grab a bunch of the Hercules banquet/stacking chairs. I wonder how the quality differs from stacking version compared to the folding version? Is one necessarily better than the other because for $5 more per chair, I am inclined to go with the banquet/stacking version.

Good chairs but heavier and not as easy to store in nooks and crannies. If you have dedicated space then I would go with a sturdier, more comfy chair.

I'm thinking though I could get the wife approval factor if we can use the fold up chairs for outside BBQs and stuff. That could work. But then plastic/vinyl would be better for cleanup.

Stacking wasn't an option for me since I have to find space to store 40 of them. Never sat in the stacking so I don't have an opinion.

As an aside, there is one thing that really tilts me. If you are a fatty, you should know you need a sturdy chair, of which I have plenty. But they don't go and ask for a sturdy chair, instead they grab one of my folding chairs and by the end of the night the thing is bent like a pretzel. I mean, you should know if you are going to wreck a chair but they sit in it anyways.

WTF!

I thought the same thing actually. I certainly don't need 40 (geez :)) but I stack 12 chairs high and they take up less space than 12 folding chairs. I guess it comes down to whether you want to take up vertical or horizontal space.

Damn $50 to ship 8 of the Hercules thick padded chairs. Makes sense but maybe I can find em locally.
:(

Funny as hell! :ROFLMAO:

My buddy leaned back in one of those nice chairs that go with the bumper pool table set up. When he leaned back he fell backwards and completely destroyed it in several pieces. It was hilarious!!

Then he said get some more sturdy chairs!! Funny as hell. Pieces everywhere. He made fun of the whole thing though.

Yeah...they just happen to have a distribution center in Canton GA which is less than an hour away for me so I did a 'lil local pickup.

@72o those chairs look great, i would stay away from the "church" style personally, as I think bergs and chicken have them, its hard to fit 8-9 pushed in at a table when not in use, they are also bulkier than the ones you liked
