Which $1 should I use in my next game?

I am leaning to the Cincinnati $1 as I like the 2 colours, just not sure of the THC/RHC combo.

Likely the $25 and $100 won't hit the table as this is a post tournament cash game.

I think the Detroit $1 plays very well off the Cinci relabels

I vote the Detroits, but since I have them, I also vote the Cinci, so I can play with them when I'm degening at your games! Haha!

Wait, did I even help you then...

Sorry...

Awesome frac indeed! What’s the base
Thanks. Its the Horseshoe Cincinnati $2s. Only difference i would make if I did it over would be do a little lighter base on the label to make more contrast for the faux shape.

I love the chip and had to find a way to use it.

I like to play $1 as 10c, $25 as $2.50, $100 as $10 etc

This way we get to enjoy the high denomination chip in play for low stake casual cash game
I'm trying to get away from doing too many relabels as I strongly prefer full inlay replacement and its a ton of work.

I still have about 1k $1s to clean and whiten for my limit set (which I will play with a multiplier so I'll get some $100s into play).

I find cleaning & oiling chip very enjoyable and relaxing process, but maybe it because I don't have that many chips

I do find cleaning and oiling by hand does help to connect/bond with the chips. But after the 400th it can be trying.

Cleaning the Jack Cincinnati $1s is fun as there are a lot of vgc chips to be discovered.

There are enough chippers now who play in the regular game that I plan to put out a pre-game survey monkey to determine cash and tournament chip combos for each game.

I can't wait to tourment you with the Jack Cincinnati tourney set I put together. I know how you work, the itch to buy will be strong (i expect the @Jeevansluck standard "no more chip buying" response to this post). ;)

I'm still in the game bro.

Just not building anymore tournament sets. I'll be looking to add more cash sets.

I'll be happy to play the Cinci at your place. The fact you own them makes it easy for me to pass, especially since I won't be running tourneys. The sample set is good enough for me. I'll live vicariously through you moving forward!!!

Remember what happened when you played with my Jack Detroits....

The Cinci don't speak to me like Jack's, and with just one game, my RHC Jack Detroits had a few flea bites. I was also brand new to the site 4 days after Jack sale.

So...in 2.5 years, my sets have changed, my likes and dislikes. I'll keep my Detroit's, but brother, I'm all about THC or else from here on out.

I will not build another single RHC set. They aren't for me. I've lost taste for them.

detroit hands down..
the .25s and 1s are excellent chips. the 5s are okay but the 25s and 100s aren't all that great. it seems like the chips go in order, the cheapest value chip is the best looking and they progressively look worse as the denominations rise.
for me, I would also change the 25s and 100s. i don't want to crap on your plans, but I just think the higher value chips should be cooler than the lower denom chips

This is more of a value cash set. I like it paired with the Jack tournament set. Initially I wasnt a huge fan of the $5 but they've grown on me.

I have the HSI and a few other cash sets when I want to bring the really pretty chips out.

I'll see how I feel after the next game and go from there. I actually prefer this $25 compared to the primary Jack detroit $25. I also prefer the primary $100 Jack Cincinnati to the secondary $100 Jack Detroit (I think that chip is actually my least favorite chip period). The really nice Jack $25s (Jack Detroit Sec, Jack Cincinnati sec) and $100s (Jack Detroit Primary, Jack Cincinnati secondary) are in my tournament sets.

But thats the great thing about this hobby, everyone's tastes differ significantly.

yeah i have a couple of racks of the 5s and they're hit and miss, sometimes i like them sometimes i don't. those fracs tho... damn

using mint jack cinci 1s is like opening an expensive bottle of liquor - should be saved for a special occasion.
