I'm trying to firm up choices for my Ojibwa 43mm Cash Set label-over. I am on the fence regarding which chip to use as my 25¢ and $100.

My two choices right now for the 25¢ are the Blaze Cincy $1K and the Green BTP T25 and for the $100, the SB $100 and the BTP $100.

A couple of words on each chip (aka, my thoughts):

For the 25¢

Blaze Cincy $1K: Pros: Bright color and different spot pattern. Cons: Impossible to color-match the outer ring and base too similar to the $20 chip spots.

Green BTP T25: Pros: Easy to color match outer ring and lower price. Cons: Green too similar to Blue and same spot pattern as the $20 chip.

I'm leaning toward the Blaze chip.

For the $100

BTP $100: Pro: Better contrast between that chip and the others and it toes better with the Blaze frac and $1. Con: Less harmonious.

SB $100: Pro: Fit better with the theme Orange/Yellow and matches the Green frac Con: Less contrast, especially with the $5 chip.

I was set on the BTP, now I'm questioning myself.

Same spot patter of the 25¢ and $20 doesn't bother you, Sean?
Didn't notice fully until pointed out.. but no, it doesn't. Rules are meant to be broken. :ROFLMAO:

But yeah, I think my preference largely lies with BTP frac because:
  • Green frac is more rare, fun to have a new chip color in the mix.
  • Blaze spot is too simple vs the $1.
  • $1 and $100 share the same spot too, right?
  • And on D, just like the overall color cohesiveness - $100 throwing back to the $1/frac is nice.
That said, all are nice.. but my chief complaint on the blaze is the spot being too simple (or $1 too complex). But not a major issue (nitpicky), just makes me lean toward C/D.

Hmm, I’m simmering more. Blaze is growing on me. I could waffle all day.. lots of pros/cons. Ha

I prefer a green chip there in theory (classic Cali w/ a yellow five uses red quarter, green half dollar) over blaze, just not that one.

depends on how

$1 and $100 share the same spot too, right?
No.

I think I surprisingly like BTP for the hundo, but it's more of a tossup than the frac.

Yeah, this would definitely lock D for my vote (sorry @Rieguy :) ).
But I'm agreeing that w/ these two specific chips the blaze is better, but in theory, a different green would be best.

Well never mind. I take my leave.
I voted A as things currently stand.

Good points, especially the simple frac vc the $1.

No $1 and $100 do not have the same spots. See face pics.

I'm not a fan of green fracs. Yes, I know I use one in my bourbon hot stamp set, I felt like I didn't have a choice.

A or B for me, A gets my vote.

Last option imo, though I’d prefer a unique spot pattern for either the frac or the $20

What about some Ojibwa T25s as the frac?

Well, that chip, the OJ T25 is already part of the Tourney set, lol! Don't want to repeat any chip (yes, I do have a barrel of the T25K in the Tourney set but it's hardly in play).

Makes sense!

AS $25? Very similar colours to the BTP T25.

Part of the AS Cash set, lol!!!

That's the difficulty, man... I do not like to repeat chip across sets, unless that chip is not used too much in one of them. So it's a challenge to find chips that are not in other sets.

Horseshoe $5000 (if available in large quantities) would be an interesting option/substitute... not that you need more chips. But still not perfect.
