Payback and Schmendr1ck at Vegas June 2021 (3 Viewers)

I am so utterly exhausted today.

A week in Vegas was amazing, but probably too much. My past trips have been 4-5 days, and I think that's an ideal length. Admittedly, the 115°F highs all week and getting home from the airport at 5am probably had something to do with it too.

Had "breakfast" at In and Out so no need to post pictures from that as it would be the same as before. In some ways I'm thankful they don't have a location in Memphis. Also, @Schmendr1ck the merch store was open. I went in to buy a car antenna for you, but the guy said they stopped selling them years ago so no dice.

Back on the grind. Still looking to play PLO but keep getting called for holdem first. This game seems good so gonna play it by ear again.

Mrs S says thanks for checking. Last time we were there was about five years ago.

Running pure in Vegas. Feels good man.

Got into a 3 bet pot with T986ds, flop QJ8 hearts that isn't either of my suits. I get it all in 3 ways. Each player has about one buy in ($500). I tell the dealer run it once, turn is a 6c and 4s. Top set for one, two pair plus hearts for the other.

Sccccccoooooooooop!

Just closed out the session. All of a sudden I got really tired and couldn't shake it. Sitting 1000bb deep with a few other players at the table doesn't seem like a good idea. Plus I have an early flight out of Vegas tomorrow morning so taking the prudent approach. Overall, today was able to book smidge over 2k in 8 hours at PLO and another 200ish in holdem while waiting for the Omaha game in 2 hours. Not a bad day :bigbucks:

The 1/3 PLO at Aria was very soft the night I played. Lots of money committed with questionable hands. You should do well.

This was a spot on assessment of the game overall after playing it twice while I was in town. Very soft and full of action. Wait times blow to get in the game, but if you can get in I think it's worth it.

Agreed. Took my first shot at 1-2 PLO at the Aria this past week, and I was underwhelmed with the play. I was playing pretty snug, but I could see that the game was a potential gold mine.

I lost a little over a buy-in, most of which was due to two big pots: I got a shortish stack in pre against @Payback with AJJT one suit vs his AAxx and he held, then I caught the bad side of variance when I lost a $500-ish pot with AAJ6 double suited vs AJ77 single suited where nearly half went in pre.

(Yeah, we did the math and that last hand I was about 75-25 pre, nearly unheard of in Omaha.)

Says the man clearly still on Vegas time....

Out the door early this mornings. Southwest was another train wreck checking a bag. Needed to stop and get breakfast to soak up some of the scotch last night.

Breakfast wasn't bad, but the 3.99 coffee was some of the worst I've had in a long time.

Travel run bad continues with Southwest. Currently sitting at the gate at 10:50, flight was supposed to take off at 10:30. Apparently the operations numbers don't match the numbers on the plane. They are manually taking attendance of every person on the plane. One guy going row by row. The teacher in me could knock this out in a few minutes.

Welp, someone didn't hand the gate agent a boarding pass. Still sitting here even though the issue is resolved as they need more fuel.

Southwest is taking it on the chin repeatedly this month - they had to cancel over 500 flights this weekend and delay a bunch more, mostly due to weather concerns.

My flight was scheduled to land Friday morning at 1:40am, but didn't actually touch down until 3:00am.

They gave us the scenic route as well. In addition to having to circle over the lake while the weather cleared. If that wasn't enough, no gate when we arrived either so now I'm sitting on the runway...

Took us 45 minutes to get to a gate so I missed out on dinner during my layover with my parents. However, I was excited to pick up another dinner buddy.

Then we got more travel news!

As I was typing this, they've delayed us another 20 minutes.:mad::mad:

So you, like, randomly pick up kids or something? :)

Sigh. Our flight is now delayed with no ETA out because they don't have a pilot.

Pilot found! However the plane coming in hit a bird during landing. Now needs a maintenance check that's going to take a while. Over 3 hours delayed and counting...
