Officially retired yesterday on my 65th birthday. We had a party Friday night. I should have put "no gifts" on the invitation, but didn't. Apparently I'm going to be drinking high dollar tequila and red wine in my retirement.

We had 60-70 people at a guess.

I had 2 cases of beer. One beer was drunk.
1 case of wine. 3 bottles were drunk.
10+ liters of Margaritas (100 limes, 4 bottles of tequila, 2 bottles of Cointreau). Completely gone at the end of the evening.

The poker chips were a gift from one of my partners, with a very, very old photo of me:

Congrats and welcome to the club! Hope you see you at a table soon….

Wonderful! Well done, that chip is worth more than most in our collections lol, looking good. Happy birthday.

Congrats, Leonard. Your DC ceramics are one of the earliest customs I remember really grabbing my attention from the CT days. Enjoy retirement!

Congratulations Leonard!

Having retired myself in January, I forsee very happy days in your future!

Congratulations!
Looking forward to seeing you (and your margaritas) at more meet ups!
Enjoy this summer!!

Congratulations! Retired five months ago. First couple were weird, now it’s great.

Congratulations, enjoy it all!

Congrats Leonard! Hopefully you retire for more years than you worked!!!

Congratulations Leonard - I hope to fully join the Retirement Club soon.

Congratulations @Leonard. Hoping to join that status at some point.
All the best in retirement.

Way to do it, Leonard! I had a 100-day countdown to my 65th on my door at the USPTO. Now in my 16th year out of the rat race, it just keeps getting better and better. Hope you do at least that well!

-- Larry (just off the ferry from Ouistreham, France to Portsmouth, England, after a month at sea and a week eating and drinking our way through the Calvados region of Caen, Bayeux, and Cherbourg. We'll leave the Margarita territory to you!)
