My Journey As A Professional Poker Player (43 Viewers)

Blinds 400/800/800 in satellite. We are 5 handed and I shove CO for 7500 with :js::th:

BB snaps with :ks::kc:

Flop :jc::ts::9d:

Thank You Poker Jeezus!

Turn :qh:

SUCK DEALER!

River :3d:

I managed to get home in time to go rollerskating tonight. Cashier made my night when she asked if I was over 18.

I'm used to people thinking I'm a decade uounger, but this was a new one
Some day you'll hit 5'1" and they'll think you're 20.

Loves reading through this.. thank you for the insight! Definitely a different level of stress but sounds like you and your wife are happier.

Its go time!

So far a decent table, lots of limped multiway pots, or small raises to 15, plenty of stations in there with garbage hands

FISH Seats 1, 2, 4 and 7

SOLID: Seat 5, 8

UNKNOWN: 3

We are on the button, bunch of limpers, we limp with

:ks::qc::8s::7c:

Flop is :ad::js::ts:

Chwcked to us, we pot, solid player on my right calls

Turn :kh:

He check-calls our pot bet again

River :ah:

He leads for 150. I think it's possible he has the same hand as me and is betting to push me off the chop, I call

He shows :ac::as::4d::2s:

Ooch! Stuck $250

Just folded top gutshot draw, watched fish call with bottom gutshot draw, hit and bet next 2 streets, I would've gotten paid lol

Lost $600 in the 2/2/5 and they started a 2nd table, no list and our table was losing players

I bailed to the 5/5/10 game which is full. It's the one with the fish I mentioned previously

Bought in for the $500 min. We are down to $375, button straddled to $20, we are in CO.

Aformentioned fish is HJ and pots it, we repot with the single suited rundown, best hand we've seen in awhile, and headsup our equity should be ok

Straddler gets in his $550, fish calls.

We go twice, first flop is AJJ and they both mention they put me on Aces. I miss both boards and they chop me up

Just look at the hands they took against what they thought was Aces

Limp and Call a raise to 45 from CO with :ts::8c::8d::7d:

Multiway and flop is :6h::7s::9c:

BINGO BANGO BONGO VINCE!

Checked to us, we pot, one OOP caller

We start thinking in our head "five...five...five!"

Turn :5h:

Checks to us, we pot again, he calls, keep that river clean dealer!

River :4c:

He checks again, we count our stack and settle on a $350 bet, looking like we're trying to not commit our entire stack

He eventually calls, we roll the nuts and he remarks "that was a good bet!"

Out of curiosity (you probably answered this previously) how long is your average session? In that time frame, how many significant hands do you get into? I guess a way to categorize significant is where the pot is roughly 100bb. Maybe you have a better measure but was really curious how many hands you get involved in during a typical session.

Typically 6-8 hour sessions. Usually 1-2 key hands each session are going to make or break you

I obviously play more hands than that, but all-in confrontations anywhere from 1-4 times per session
