What I don't get about this is someone would have to break into some accounts, this isn't hacking, and then have a fairly decent understanding of how this forum works, what people would want to buy and would be willing to pay quickly. That's a lot of attention to detail.

This is a form of hacking — social engineering, in a way. I guarantee the hacker is a member of PCF, and has been watching the sales.

In this case, he/she copied this old ad from @chutracheese including pictures, and just waited for us to take the bait.

I know there was a fb breach not too long ago. If anyone is using the same password anywhere, they are at risk. I strongly recommend using a unique password every single time.

Also, you can check out haveibeenpwnd to see if you've been breached or at risk:

They could be attacking community websites that use this same website template that have classified listings. They may have a trick to get the passwords or just have developed a a basic scam that they can repeat once they have cracked simple passwords in communities like this.

Yah I’d suggest if possible an option be added to the security portion when you change your password to log out of all locations as well
Just resetting your password may not instantly kick them out
It looks like they are posting as me as well here still
