Shocked these are exact copies , oh well those Chinese folks are very good in making replicas. But that goes only for the visual aspect , as soon as you pick that chip up you will know it certainly isn’t B&G.That really looks like a BG JAV chip, I mean the Chinese made a good looking copy down to the shape of the inserts and everything. Only the decal looked off to me, so no fault to anyone thinking it is BG. I did a lot of digging and finally found these. If the original picture had shown the edges, possible irregularities would have also pointed to a Chinese knock-off.

Not necessarily, I know it’s most of the time what you said but casinos can choose this by themselves if they want the b&g logo on decal I think. Holland casino prefers the little more privacy from where these chips come from and has no logo in the decal other than their own logo. That’s why it took me a while to figure out where their amazing chips coming from actually. This was way before my chipping time and being a member here , I quickly did my research and learned that these are BG and specifically JAV MoldMost of the time BG chips have their logo on the decal

Ever played with them ? They’re heavy yes, but their among the best plastics out there. Very nice sound , and handling them is very nice , that’s why casinos here only go for BG , no clay anywhere to be found here.16.5G!!!

I’m guessing also , it’s their durability which is much much better than clays.
I don’t think that’s the case , Holland casino is a casino that belongs to the Dutch government with 14 establishment in the Netherlands. There’s a article that Holland casino ordered 3 million chips from gpi as a “reorder” , if they really wanted Paulsons they would’ve gotten itWell, I'm guessing that it's also much cheaper for European casinos to purchase European-manufactured chips because of preferred trade status within the Eurozone. It would probably be very cost prohibitive to import North American-made compression clays in the quantities that a casino would need (many tens or hundreds of thousands), even if B&G and Paulson are under the same umbrella.

Paulsons are cheaper than BG as many of us already know , so it’s really the more expensive option they are choosing. Long term , yes they last longer than clays so the casino will not need as many re orders. But these BG chips are not cheap by any means for any casino
Like I said , it’s from the government. They are not paying 1 dime for import tax if they wanted Paulsons. They own the damn tax hereBut GPI is only the umbrella corporation. Manufacturing origin matters. If a casino in the Netherlands buys 3M chips from GPI, it's a sure bet they are B&G, where they wouldn't have to pay an import tax. There would be huge surcharges on Paulson or even Bud Jones chips. Nothing stopping them from buying them, but I doubt they would see it as a good investment.
Wow, those Chinese chips are a very close replica of the B&Gs. I think I can see slight differences between the mold shapes when I look at the two pictures side-by-side, but it could just be an artifact of the way the pictures were taken. I'd love to have them both in my hands to see if I could spot the differences in person
