The Dugout (4 Viewers)

Surprisingly, I was one of them, who got the folding chair. They aren’t too bad, Lifetime plastic chairs. Surprisingly comfortable.

Another surprise of mine, was it was my first time playing cards at the round table. The last 2 poker events, I was at the main table. Huge fan of the round.

I need to get some pics next time. Completely forgot.
That happens to me even when I'm not hosting! Very common with everything going on to forget to snap pics! The basement isn't going anywhere! Plenty of time for that! Just happy to hear everything went well!!

It was a very successful night when a lot of my beer supply was consumed (I don’t really drink beer but usually have a big selection that will just sit in my bar fridge), and the pound of strawberries I cut for the drink special disappeared pretty fast. I try to have 1 or 2 featured drinks instead of just random crap. Last night, the 2 were a Strawberry Gin Fizz, and a drink I stole the recipe from a speakeasy out in Philadelphia called the Henry Box Brown. It literally is fresh squeezed red grape juice and 15yr El Dorado rum. Personally, it’s my favorite drink.

And updated couple pictures.

That does sound delicious, mostly a beer drinker myself but been on a diet since late August. I have had half a beer 3 different times and 1 Oliver Brewing Company (local brewery) when we joined a fellow PCFer for dinner not long ago.

I need to come up with a good low call Margarita for an upcoming event... or just say screw it and accept the vacation weight!

Red grape juice or grape fruit juice? I prefer tequila but enjoy a good rum drink. Or collection isn't that of yours

Nothing really rare, more about drinkable and not worry about the value. I was stoked to finally find my full bottle of 151, I bought that one about 15 years ago and never got into it... I didn't even know they quit making it in 2016. Unfortunately it has been opened so value is shot but still cool to have!

But if you haven't herd of it I recently found out they are still making rum! Try to get one of these!!

or maybe order a half a case if you have to order it!! They make a special reserve you can only buy from the Distillery and I am thinking about a road trip and visit @Poker Zombie and @Mrs Poker Zombie on the way!! Lol

So 16 players but 14 chairs? Who drew the short straw and got the nasty metal folding chairs? Lmao
Damn huh. Imagine spending over $5,000 in chairs and, as host, you have to sit on a plastic folding chair. LOL. Thats too bad but I get it.

BTW I showed my wife the Dug Out and those chairs (I REALLY want those). She slapped me in the face when I asked if she wouldn’t mind me buying 9. LOL. I showed her that you had 14 and I wasn’t as crazy as you but it didn’t work.

Love the shot showing both tables in the same room! I thought maybe the oval was in a smaller room and now I see the layout! Everything looks amazing, but man those 2 TVs side by side and not the same size would tilt me a bit!! What a man cave brother!!
Thank you.
The TV’s are different sizes because both would not have enough room to swing out And the two walls are different sizes.

Bacardi stopped making 151!?? Nooooo! Classic college get-your-ass-kicked liquor! :(

Fun was had by all, including a crazy uno game while waiting for enough cash players to get knocked out. LOL

Tell me more about this Uno game! I love Uno...used to run Uno tournaments in college, LOL.

Apparently it has been gone a few years now. I also have Cruzan 151... I heard they made them back it off to 149 proof! Lol but apparently there were medical issues and deaths from drinking 151 and they were going after the Rum companies so they quit making it all together. Just sad man, yes late high school and early 20s that was the go to for getting it in! Lol

On uno I have been buying dice in matching sticks of 5 hoping to get a yahtzee game going when waiting for players to arrive!

Our last home game we did a 6 player turbo (5 minute rounds 1/2, 2/4, 5/10, 10/20, 25/50, 50/100) SS of T500 like a satalite where every one throws in 1/6 of the buy in for the tourney. 30 minutes it is over (chip up while playing)... kind of a warm up and better than flipping for $20 like many games! It was a lot of fun! Something to think about!

Actually, I was tending bar during this epic uno game, and I don’t even know how to play uno. I need to learn, and then learn how to play for money.

Plantation makes a really good overproof rum.

Just bought a 500 chip Rounders replica set from CPC.
Which mold buddy? Please say CSQ! Lol no matter what it is your first set with inlays and denoms correct? Congratulations! Hoping cash because I don't think 500 chips would cover your 16 person tourney games.

Scroll

I currently have 2 sets ordered with custom inlays (B-Diamond Cash set and Large Crown tourney set), plus my blank cash and tourney sets.

CSQ $1 is out of stock until at least April.

I figured I may build another set down the road with CSQ so that’s why I went with the Scroll.

I thought the very first thing when I saw them. I actually thought they were for Disney Cruise Line but then realized that isn’t possible, because the Disney boats don’t have casinos.

Nice job on the win.

What are all those pelican cases?

How are your TVs wired up? Do they dump all their connections to the floor? How do you cable them into your Tournament Director software?
I'm an electrician, pretty sure the answer here is HDMI over that drop ceiling and down to each monitor. Absolutely love this card room! Can't wait to come play someday!!

Lol. Not what you think.

They are actually all full of poker chips.

In terms of the TV’s, they all are wired into an HDMI switcher through the wall and ceiling into the main hub of the house. I can run directtv through all of them, Apple TV, any streaming app you can think of, or mirror from a device.

For the card games, instead of wasting a TV on the poker software, I put a 24” tv on the window and mirror an iPad into it.
