You have the absolute best solution for a limit game there & when you get tired of Bellagio chips you can turn them in for a full refund of your deposit and try something else. Only thing is you might actually want a few more. Honestly in our limit game we routinely have 20 or even 30 racks on the table.

My local card room spreads mostly limit. It used to be only limit, they changed the state law to allow bigger bets which has had the effect of encouraging more spread limit. Fortunately they still can't spread nl as we have a max $100 bet law so nl doesn't work.
Most people don't know this or really understand this, but you don't want people to lose too fast as they stop coming when that happens. Limit has a lot more variance than nl and thus allows bad players to get lucky more frequently and keeps them coming back.
By far the vast majority of players should prefer playing limit as the vast majority of players are bad and games with more variance (like limit) give bad players a better chance to win than games with lass variance like nl. Of course bad players are both bad and uninformed and they don't know or understand this concept.
Unfortunately most people see nl on TV and think that is the only poker. As a rank beginner they walk into a casino and sit down to a 1/2 game or 2/5 and they will get felted almost 100% of the time.
This value denomination thing must be a home game thing to make limit easier to play with less chips.... That is not a thing in a Casino
For example in a $20/$40 game there is basically no reason to have any chips in play other than $5. Blinds are $10 & $20 and all subsequent bets are either in Increments or $20 or $40. Having only $5 chips on the table makes the game move along faster
In the card room 2/4, 3/6 & 4/8 are the smallest game & are played with $1 chips. 6/12 & 8/16 are played with $2 chips. You could play 9/18 or 12/24 with $3 chips, but almost no one does it. We play 20/40 with $5 chips and $40/$80 with $10 chips. $50/$100 players want to play with $10 chips & occasionally the card room allows that, but most of the time that game is played with $25 chips.

Playing any limit game with 1&2 chips for the blinds does not work well because it doesn't look like there is anything in the pot. Ideally games like 4/8 with $1 chips, 8/16 with $2 chips & 20/40 with $5 chips work best because people love getting into big pots and lots of chips in the blinds encourages people to play a lot of hands & get into these massive pots.

People love big stacks in limit. In our cardroom most people buy in for 2-3 racks and is is not uncommon to see people re-buy a couple times before giving up. Getting 30 or 40 racks on the table is fairly common. I have played a lot and seen a lot of things including one time I saw a guy buy in for 2 racks and played limit for like 40 hours and run it up to 40 racks. That was the most I've ever seen anyone have. Most of the time when someone gets to 10 or 12 racks they will call it quits.

I’m guessing that they keep the chips in the racks and not in stacks.

Small stakes people don't buy in for as much. In 2/4 or 3/6 people only buy in for a rack, but in the bigger 4 chip games (8/16, 20/40 & 40/80) almost everyone buys in for at least 2 racks & in 20/40 & up 3 racks is very common. So in a full table (9 players) let's say 5 buy in for 2 racks and 4 buy in for 3 racks that is 22 racks without any rebuys.
Plenty of room at the table. I know some card rooms allow it, but ours does not allow you to play out of the racks. People get good at stacking chips. Most people with 3 or more racks go up more than 20. They will mostly go 40 or 50 high so it still easy to count.
They do play other games, but the most popular is limit holder. The guys at the biggest game are pretty much all regulars and they wanted to start spreading a mixed 40/80 game. They allowed that to start maybe 4 yrs ago so now the 40/80 game is mostly mix. When they start the game they vote on which games people want to play. Holdem, Omaha high, O8, Stud, Stud 8, Razz, 2-7 tripple draw,, Bedugie, bedeucie. Once decided they play 8 handed and 8 hands of a specific game and then move on to the next game with 8 hands of that game & so on. There are some placards to keep track of which games are in and the order & they use some special chips to keep track of how many hands have been played.
Most of the room is limit. 8/16 has a half kill & used to be the most popular game. They play 2-100 spread limit too which is kind of an abomination, but it is the closest to nl that the state laws will allow. Unfortunately that game has gotten more popular & I'm sure just like how nl has destroyed the games everywhere else will eventually do so here too.
100% no question about it, nl destroys a card room. The very best players take the money too fast and everyone else quits. Eventually you wind up with 1 or 2 tables where everyone is a nit and no one wants to play any more. If you don't believe me, ask anyone who has worked in a card room for 20+ yrs. They will all tell you the same thing.
Limit is a much more fun game, especially for weaker players. At the end of the day, isn't that who you want in your game?

There’s not a lot of choice over here. Most casinos do tourneys and as players get knocked out and become available they’ll open up a table or two for £1/£2 NLHE and that’s it.
Just so I understand you right, the games in your card room for a 4/8 game the players buy in for a rack so effectively they’re only buying in for 12 big bets.
Interesting as well that you say that 1/2 chip blinds don’t encourage action in the same way as 2/4 blinds. Something to think about at my next game. Thanks for your reply
This has been my biggest concern over the vote that just passed in Colorado to remove the $100 max bet cap, which I did vote for, but I'm worried about the NLHE effects going forward with the player pool, you spelled it out exactly like I would have... We'll see come May 1st 2021.....
