Hello you crazy chip people!
Not a frequent poster, but no less a chip lover. A gentlemen is retiring from the company I worked at for 30 years. He is/was a senior leader of the company, is beloved by many and is an avid poker fan. We have had many off-site meetings where poker games/tourneys take place, he is always a part of it. For his retirement after 40 years, his colleagues want to give him a "high end" set of custom chips. Since I am the resident chip expert at this company (but only a rank amateur compared to many on this site), they have asked for my help.
I've used the CPC Chip Designer tool (this is originally from J5 on Chiptalk, right?) and have a set sort of designed. Various influences for the colors and edgespots, but in general, these will be non-denom specific, but the colors will follow a frac to $100 chip color scheme. I just sort of winged it, based on what I think he likes, and also to some degree what I like. Would love anyone's thoughts, ideas, etc. And, if I have taken too much liberty with certain colors from existing sets (i.e. Le Cove) and broken some chip design commandment, lemme know that as well.
These will have a 7.8" inlay, basically a red & teal & white colored company logo. Thanks in advance for your feedback.
PS: Some rationale for each chip:
1. Frac (purple chip) is because the guy is a Clemson Univ alum. So a frac that incorporates CU colors
2. $1 (white) is based on a spot pattern I love for a $1 (4A18) but with the red & teal/light blue of the company
3. $5 (red) and $20 (yellow) is based on the Le Cove's (perhaps my fav fantasy set of all time). Is this cool?
4 $100 (black chip) is just a mock up that I thought looked good.
Hope the Chip Designer pic loads right. Again, thanks for any feedback.
