Official Fit Competition (Sept 7 - Nov 30) (5 Viewers)

Wow Jeff!! Congratulations brother!! You should have signed up for the competition! You would have won hands down!!

Youare going to need a smaller paper bag for SQM buddy!! Lol
Lol, I had been losing weight going back to March, starting way before you guys decided to do it, or I wouldn've. And my noggin is still the about the same size! :)

Dang. I need to get on this. Amazing work, everyone.

I did great on the P90X a number of years ago, but fell off the wagon and gained back all of my losses. Great for poker. Not ideal for weight.

Looks like you lost a whole Jeff! How much did you say you are down now? In 07 I went from 246 to 148 in 3 months... I tried to stop loosing weight at 165... but my metabolism was too high at the time from working out... wish I still had the drive in 2020 but 60 pounds in 12 weeks is still pretty dang good!!

It’s a quarter Jeff. I lost 17 pounds in the 5 months between January 4 and June 27. Covid hit and my wife and I started doing this regimen on June 27 to make weigh loss faster to get rid of some of the COVID risk factor ASAP. Ive lost 62 pounds in the 5 months since June 27. Ramped up exercise and portion control to net 1300 calories per day. Still going to lose another 10 pounds before I experiment to find calorie intake/weight maintenance equilibrium.

Jeff that’s nuts. Well done. Everything im reading about maintaining weight post diet seems to advocate for keeping activity levels the same and same types of foods (but larger portions) for multiple weeks.

As to the fit comp, I am not sure I’ll be able to best today’s number given thanksgiving coming up. 201.9. Beat the 205 goal, pretty stoked

As of today I hit the 62 pounds Jeff but you have that 17 on top!! Which weird as it may seem is the number I am looking for by SQM... that would put me at 199!

I was in 2XL shirts and went out last night comfortably in a Large with room to spare!! Keep up the amazing work Jeff, super happy for you brother

Same to you, dude! I'm not in the contest, I said that upfront...I already had a head start getting it rolling before you guys did!

Not to muddy up your threads here...but getting close to where I want to be:

Hey Jeff since the comander and chief of this thrad has vanished again (thread jacking fully allowed! haha) if possible I would love to see some pictures of the man cave buddy, Mint condition Black Gassers, endless chip racks on the wall, Bose sound system. Hell Ibet you even have a heard toilet seat in the basement. Lol

Truly looking forward to getting out there and playing sometime at th Everligh Club!! Years of hard work and dedication to the hobby, take a bow sir! Take a bow!!!

Hey @dmoney and @Frogzilla (and anyone else who cares...but the three of us have been battling for weeks!) —

I’m sure you saw, no weigh in for me this week...2 week trip for the Holiday and no scale here. My final weigh in will be the morning of the 1st as soon as I get home...hope that’s close enough (I started a few days late anyway!)

Still trying to run strong but a holiday centered around a meal is certainly a wrench!:)! Let’s all fight it and finish awesome though! (That’s to the above two...plus the rest of yas!)

-Dan

Looking forward to the finish!! Of course I'm not stopping now. Hope everyone keeps on track through the holiday! Definitely having a slice of pumpkin pie tomorrow... even if I gain a pound or two... I think all of us that have taken this seriously deserve a cheat day!! Lol

Nice work @JustDave !!! I’ve put in a lot of time running, on the bike, surfing, and paddleboarding while at the beach...so I hope to be following suit!

Everyone make it through the long holiday weekend successfully?

I had a small piece of pumpkin pie and pumpkin cheese cake but I ate very reasonably... still lost a pound that day!

No idea what happens tomorrow. Jeff is supposed to be running this and is MIA

As I said from the beginning, my weight loss is enough. I traded my bounty for a Story Hill sample set about two weeks ago! Lol

Just want to keep Brie and my own bounty... I have no idea what to say about the rest, and seems like quite a few people didn't even participate.

Started at 278 weighed in this morning at 212 flat!! 66 pounds gone!@

May be the end of the competition but several of you guys are catching up!! Let's keep this thread going and hopefully we all stay on track!!

@timinater the links should continue to work correct? Thank you for your help with those! Fun to watch everyone's progress together!!

Wow!! Great job, I didnt fair to well over all but will keep on going for it. I just need to know who I owe bounty too.

Congrats @Ben8257 on your incredible showing in this competition, and on your improved fitness! I'm planning to keep most of the changes I made for this competition going.

... side action on who can keep the most weight off for 6 or 12 months would be amazing for anyone interested!

I don't want to go crazy... I was hoping for under 200 for SQM... I think I can get to 178 by February!! That's right 100 pounds gone! But I have only been loosing 2 to 3 pounds a week recently... that's only like 10 weeks away I think... plus you have to say at least one or 2 more plateaus.... probably 187 would be more reasonable... but my goal is secretly 100 pounds!!

To be under 180 again would be awesome!!

I lost some weight early, but have gained some back. I offered up sample sets from my cards mold ceramic group buy, which at the time were on a ship to the US. Unfortunately, half my order was lost by UPS and is being remade. Unlikely I will get them until early next year, but I will still contribute them to this competition when they arrive.

I don’t know how you keep goin Ben. 3 months in and I’m so done with it. The last couple weeks have been exhausting.

I’d prefer to be another 15 lb lighter but I’m gonna wait til mid January. Until then, I’ll keep exercising and being picky about foods, but the portions are going up

Congrats to everyone who hit 10%...I’ll give a couple days for y’all to log it (some folks are close), and then PM you for what kind of desjgn setup y’all want
