My Journey As A Professional Poker Player (38 Viewers)

His videos are great. I also like the Rampage Poker channel :cool
Agreed. The two poker vloggers I watch. I actually watched Ethan's live stream when he won his WSOP bracelet. Stayed up until like 3 or 4 AM, but it was awesome since I had started watching his vlog a few months before that.

Damn, the 100k grtd tourney brought ALL the action to town

At least this was in the 1/2 and guy only had $230

Three ways, we both called a flop bet. Turn we check to him on button and he bets pot of $200 with $30 behind

He's been bluffing frequently with big bets, if he had the nuts here he would've bet less

So I pick him off, he binks the magic :8c: on the river lol. I can't ask for better spots but yeesh!

Still up $550 from the 2/5/10 game, but wasn't that great a lineup so moved to 1/2

Had tried the 5/10/25 first but zero action

Very interesting. I skipped the 10am start of 1/2 PLO at Luckys because I'm not looking to get Cuban sandwiched or continue watching them win all the monster pots as 20-30% equity underdogs.

Usually the game starts at 10am and is full, but it didn't start until just now at 10:45am.

Probably other people doing the same thing as you. Cheats hurt games.

Could just be that it's a holiday, though.

Are you there to keep an eye on them?

Nope, I don't have time to play the role of casino security

My buddy just texted that the first table is running but isn't full, has two open seats

Usually get a 2nd table running between noon-1pm. I'll be leaving in 20 minutes to play

So does room management know that you will no longer play any game that these players are in? Do the other regs know as well?

It seems like if enough players bail on the game a few times and make it clear to room management why they aren't playing, the room might be more likely to 86 these guys.

The manager knows and I've spoken to a few other regs

What I find funny is that the manager says he'd love to ban them.

But a million of us have witnessed them signal raises, reported it, reported how they will raise people out with T862 and then run it twice with a buddy, and nothing is done.

There's a reason they don't play at the Hard Rock, they would get caught and booted.

Also, before I even started playing there they used to get 7 PLO tables running on Mondays. But by the time I learned of the place they struggle to get three tables running

If it's as obvious as you say it is, why the hell doesn't he just watch them play for a while?

It sounds like a room manager who just doesn't want to lose players. Get a few of the other Monday regs to tell him "we aren't coming back until these guys are gone" and it makes his decision super easy. The hard part, of course, is convincing the others to skip the game for a week or two.

If you can't beat em, join em.

Maybe it's time we show em the 'ol Barritino Sammich. TM.

I'm considering just adjusting my schedule to play at the Hard Rock moving forward

The Cubans in multiway pots when others are all-in and someone is deciding to call will flip over two cards and announce "wrap" when the other two cards they don't show are AA as well, seen that move a few times

Sounds like that's probably a good move - unless you believe that in spite of the collusion, the Lucky's game is more profitable. Then you may want to just suck it up and stay where the money is better.

Your job as a pro is to not let stuff like this tilt you. ;)

It's not about tilting me. It's about a room protecting the players

My buddy said Cuban in seat 1 put $1500 in preflop 4-way all-in with A26x with three diamonds

He was up agsinst AAxx, KKxx and AKQJ ds, ran it once and flushed, scooping a 6k pot

No bueno today. -$1,200 on the session. Never really got much going, was never in the positive. Didn't get many playable hands, the ones I did whiffed or got outdrawn, etc.

My final hand I flopped 2nd nuts with redraw on a short-stack and ran into the first nuts, went twice and got scooped.

Asian guy named Bong or Vong was straddling and raising almost every pot, spun his buyin up to 4K and gave it all back. Another guy at our table who only runs once picked up AA34 suited in a $160 restraddled pot, got it in 5-ways and won a $7,000 pot, then left soon afterwards.

At least none of my money went to the Cubans, they were still there, one of them with a huge stack. My table was a ton of fun at least, lots of laughing and joking going on, so despite the losing session I enjoyed myself.

No beuno. Had :kd::qd: in the CO, called a raise to 1500 by UTG. Blinds are 500/300 with 500 bb ante

Short stack shoves from blinds for close to 9k, raiser folds, I call, he flips over :ad::5d: and holds

Little bit later in same level EP limps for 500, MP makes it 2k, I call on button with :ac::6c: and limper calls

Flop :qc::8c::6d: bingo bango bongo! Original raiser bets 3500, we shove for 16k total. He snaps with :ah::ad:

Turn :8s:
River :qh:

Whomp whomp
