WSOP DOUBLEBOOYAH!!! Let's show a little support for the one and only! (84 Viewers)

Encouraging…I made a huge fold with AK on day 3. I should have been knocked out. That was easiest the best fold I’ve ever had in poker. AK10 board. Villian had QJ. Should have gone bust.

Got it all in early day 4 with AK > AA against an aggressive euro pro. No regrets bc he could have had a lot of hands I beat and i’ll gladly flip with these pros. But he had AA.

But ultimately I grossly misplayed AA bb vs sb with 50bb and completely punted and that’s soul crushing. Makes you never want to play a poker tournament again of this magnitude bc u can’t afford to make a mistake like that and if you do, you question what are you even doing here lol

My table got very good as the day went on, tons of chips…and I grossly miscalculated how many Bb were still in play during the hand. Just completely blacked out.

Got to be mentally alert and ready for a real grind. I’ve played the main 3 times. Lots of fun. No doubt I would continue to only reg Day 2. Day 1 is just more grind on your mind body and travel. Including the day off you get just unnecessary stress / grind imho. Day 2 late reg is 75bb. This is the first year I did day 2. Previously I late reg day 1 about halfway into the day.

First year I got my stack to 300k and didn’t cash. AK < KK. Year 2 I bagged 11k after day one and still cashed. Year 3 I had a top 40 stack to start day 4 and punted with AA!

Booyah out!

Don't be too hard on yourself brother, it's an impressive run.
After the facts, it's too easy to be result oriented.

Good run, Craig! I was watching closely updating my wife that one of us made it that far!
If i didn't have baby #2 on the way, i would've been out there (possibly playing) or railing your success!

Continue the huge progress next year, bud!

Safe travels.

Also bluffed the fuck out of a euro pro w 3 bracelets w a river jam on day 3. He tanked for 5+ minutes. He even called the floor on himself bc he couldn’t make a decision. Wow that was a sweat. I didn’t want to call floor myself bc I was bluffing and I wanted to act as if I want a call.

Ultimately he folds and asks to see my hand. I show the bottom pair bluff and table erupts lol. This also leads to me getting paid off twice later in the day in my estimation with QQ and the full house hand pokernews wrote up.

The only thing I beat is a bluff and he’s not bluffing. Ok to make a mistake. Dwell. Vent. And move on!
Exactly, rinse & repeat brother....

Not sure about the action, I agree you had (better) options 50bb deep.
Pre, raise to 40K is std (with antes and this deep,, I (maybe) would have gone a bit more... he needs to call 25K for a 95K pot (40/40/15)
You just got a disgusting flop....

Post flop, you could have known he was playing a 5 or pocket 88 if he called your (big) bet.
After that you check fold...

But again, ease to say after the facts...he could have had a big pair too (10's and up)....

And don't forget all the great plays you did (post above, the AK fold on a made str8....), your stack didn't grew to 1.3M by folding or OMC play !

One of three; they each won $10,000 and one guy won a $25K WSOPP seat, which means the average for the bubble boys was more than the $15K min-cash.
Yeah, they’ve been doing that for a couple of years now. I used to think it was stupid, but now I’m thinking, if it helps burst the bubble more quickly, who cares?

The longer you walk in a minefield ....

GG man. Envy of all of us. I'll be out there next year and I read all kinds of stuff like this, because life proves experience is something you only get after you need it.
