Don't get me wrong, I would love it at a table of guys who know how to properly cut checks. Everyone seems to put in the time to learn shuffling but even those who have played for decades tend to drop-count 4-5 chips and side slide into it

Yeah I get it. I do feel the same. I'm under no presumption that my group are rocket scientists. I definitely don't want to wait for all 7 calling stations to count out a bunch of $1s on the turn. I would think using $10s would help a fair amount.
I disagree that there would be any problems betting. I'll just build a micro sized trolley made of aircraft aluminum and wheels with ceramic bearings, then stack the tower. Only two bets to make...fold or shove. It should roll past the bet line just fine.
