Help me pick a 10 cent chip to add to my cash set. @p5woody put together a couple of mockups and I can't decide which I like best and overall goes with the rest. I'm leaning towards one, but wanted to see what y'all thought!

1,5,3, in that order. Definitely make it a 5c chip though. More flexible, even if you plan on 10c/25c blinds.

I had that thought after I posted this - a 5 cent chip would be more flexible - how many would I need per table? Still one rack or two?

Orange by a lot.

Really should be a dime imo. Even if you were planning on playing .05/.10, just make it .10/.10 and you'll need fewer small chips and you'll be making change much, much less frequently.

Why? Is it the change factor? I really should have included a lower denom than 25 cents when I placed my first order - but I'm curious to here the pros and cons of 5 cent vs 10 cent. I like the 5 cent x5 factor of 25 cents. But my gut said 10 cents originally.

I would do the orange chip. The dark blue I'm afraid will blend in too closely with the black for potential dirty stacks. You already have a white and blue chip ($1) so going with a new set of colors ie orange and green would look the best imo.

Yes, primarily the change factor and secondarily (and somewhat consequentially) the need for fewer small chips. Also, unless the game plays super small and conservative, it's better to put as few of the smallest chip out as possible to discourage using the small chips for anything other than workhorse denoms. It's a nightmare to have a guy betting $1+ with nickels.

The orange and yellow have a bigger change of dirty stacks IMO, and would probably be in play at the same time. Outside of the New England crew, who needs $100 chips in a 10c/25c game?

i'd go with 2 by far,1 then 3.

2 because, I think it would match ur set perfectly, all ur other colours are bold (having seen the sample set in real life)

1 works well with the colour combos as does 3.

Not 5 because, you are using purple already with ur $20 chip. Not 4 because, not sure just doesn't work.

I choose light blue in green as this color cannot be traditionally confused for a larger denomination in most cases.

But choose what you like.(y)

2,1,5 in that order 2 and 1 are very close IMO. and I can't see any dirty stack issues even if they nickels, dimes, or $20 were on the table at the same time.....which I would like to see a nickel game that uses $20 too:D. I'm also saying this assuming you would exhaust all quarters, $1's, and $5's (around $1500 bank in these chips alone IIRC) before getting to the $20's

depending on how light the blue is it could possibly be confused with the $1

Current bank is:

.25 - $50
1.00 - $400
5.00 - $3k

$20 and $100 not likely to make the table in any below $1 blind games.

I like the orange chip as well - very closely followed by #3. I've asked @p5woody to mock up a few more orange chips with different shades of green.

I'm pretty sure I have decided on orange. The dark blue and red does not do it for me. The lt blue and brown is a close second. Of these four - which do you like best?

I still think #1 works best with the rest of the set. Your .25c has a softer accent color, I think the softer green accent of #1 matches better with the existing frac than the starker/harder accents of #2 & #4. Chip #3 would be my second choice.

That's very true. I hadn't considered that the $.25 chip was the only one with a "softer" accent color which would kind of make the hard accent $.10 chip look out of place. Really tough decision.

What about the orange with lt. blue. I was a fan of the orange but something about the orange and green didn't sit right with me. #3 is my favorite but guess I'm in a minority there.

Excellent point! I hadn't considered that - I was looking at it purely from a contrast perspective.

Good question - I will have to ask @p5woody to mock that up and see what it looks like
