Will a designer be offended if I ask them to edit another designers work? (1 Viewer)

I had a set of chips designed by somebody here last year and was wanting to do an add-on for a larger denomination plaque. Very happy with their work but for whatever reason, that designer has not replied and I guess is too busy to do it for me.

So my questions are -

1) Would designers be miffed if I asked them to edit another designers work?
2) Any recommendations on a designer who has experience with BRPro plaques?

Thank you!

I personally wouldn't be offended.

If I did work and then someone else would take that project over, I'm okay with that.

Also, the same way. I have found in the past that I've needed to fix other designers work to make it better. Hopefully the other person wouldn't be offended, but if they are then I can't do much about that.

Did you pay for the original work? And it was for yourself? As far as I’m concerned it’s your artwork to do whatever you please with it.

1) As someone who’s done design work for others, I would not be upset if another designer took over if I wasn’t available. I’d probably prefer to be asked first, and if I didn’t have the bandwidth then I’d give my blessing for someone else to work on it. And if I wasn’t reachable then the same thing applies.

2) No specific recommendations; I’m not sure which designers have done a BR Pro plaque. (I myself did a simple plaque design on Sun Fly for a member here.) But there are so many talented designers on here who should be able to tackle a plaque design just as easily as they do a chip design.

I guess I should've answered this question too.

I personally haven't worked specifically with BRPro, but I've done tons of ceramic plaque orders in the past.

Working on some acrylic/MOP designs as we speak

I’ll be in the same boat it seems for any future “Hoser Hut” themed work, with J5 unfortunately falling off the radar.

while I’d of course prefer to work with the original designer, I wouldn’t have any second thoughts about engaging another designer if needed.

You paid for the art, and unless you and the designer had a different agreement, it should be yours to do as you wish. If I had designed them, it would be nice as a courtesy to be asked to make the revisions, but there is no obligation.
Since you asked and got no response, I think you’re good to go.
