This is a last minute thought and I don’t know if it’s going to happen. But if it does.

As I was sending invitations for my game this Friday I was reminded that there is a benefit for a friend who has cancer. So okay, no game, I’m going to that event. But then I thought, if I could run a cash table there, and rake for the charity, that might be a good thing.
So I don’t know if they’ll agree to it. But if they do, I guess I’d want a 500-1,000 chipset to run a .25/50 or a .50/50 or .50/1.00 game.
So if anybody local or anybody willing to ship quickly has a chipset that would work, please let me know. The only cash chips I have are leaded Paulsons, and I don’t think I’d like to use those for this event.

This is why you buy a travel set!

A lot of very affordable RHC in the classifieds right now, perfect timing. In addition…you may pick up a chipper or two at the function.

I took my secondary hsi to a charity poker game and several people realized how nice they were and I invited/added them to my home game.

I would have absolutely no qualms about using a leaded Paulson set for an event like this.
Agreed. If it's one table and you are playing/dealing then that would be pretty easy to maintain control over equipment inventory.

But also agree @LeLe that a Tina set is a perfect travel set for environments where you might have concerns about loss or damage. That's exactly why I got mine, though that one is a tourney set.

Thanks anyway guys, they said no thanks to the poker game.

As far as the paulsons go, are you guys out of your minds? I only have one set of Paulsons - they're worth like $5-$10 apiece and aren't easy to replace. I'm not insane about them though - I'll always use them in my home game, no matter who's playing. And I'm happy to bring them to other people's houses and play with them there. But I'm not about to whip them out at a game at a big charity benefit that's going to be full of strangers.

Break out the Dunes, bro -- did you buy them to sit on a shelf? They've already been used in a casino by thousands of players, many of which had not a clue....

Future situations you’re welcome to one of my cards molds sets if you find yourself in a spot like this
