Hi all,
Curios who makes ceramic chips like this with an inlay? Does anyone make custom or semi-custom ones like this for retail purchase?

People call these hybrids. Sunfly is one manufacturer of this type. I assume an advantage is the durability of thr chip but the security and durability of the inlay design. I believe the line is called Polyinno.

I have an awesome sample set of HMKs

Are we able to order directly from them? I think I looked at their website once and didn’t see an option to place an order or pricing. I’ll look again though

Yeah you can. Although if my memory serves me correctly it isn’t a straightforward online retail experience. You have to contact them.

They are a vendor here: @SUN-FLY Poker Chips

Also, maybe @HMK can help.
I’ll send them a message. Just thought I’d compare pricing to CPC. Although I’m quite sure I’ll be ordering the CPC set regardless. But if the pricing of the ceramics are significantly less I’d be open to it. I really only like them with the insert though otherwise I know BR pro is an option.

Just rough ball parking costs;

Cards mold ceramics from China (edge aligned): $0.31
BRPro ceramics (non aligned): $0.65
Sunfly hybrids (I don’t have a great sense of these so I am curious if someone can confirm): ~$1.25
CPC (ballparking based on your mock-ups on HHR): $2.42

Just for the record, those chips are not ceramics, nor do they have inlays. They are high-end injection-molded plastic with adhesive-backed labels, probably Bud Jones made by GPI (who does not sell to the general public).

Matsui and Abbiati both make similar style plastic chips (around $2+/chip), and Sun-Fly offers a ceramic chip version with a recessed center for a label (polyinno hybrids) that can be custom printed to look similar to plastic injection-molded chips (typically about 75c/chip).

Thanks for the clarification. It was my first time holding chips like these and I thought they were pretty nice. I’ll look into the Sun-Fly options.

Can you order Matsui or BJs or Abiatti as an individual? I thought no, which is why I had mentioned Sunfly above.

Just to clarify for @jrs146, the Sun-Fly ceramics feel completely different to the injection-molded plastics mentioned, so I’d recommend getting samples beforehand if interested in a set.

Does anyone make the injection molded plastics that are close to these for retail order?

Like has been stated already, SUN-FLY can have whatever you want printed on their ceramic blanks to mimic either clay or high end plastics. Or you can make something that isn't trying to be either, your imagination is the limit i guess. You can contact SUN-FLY by just sending them a pm here at pcf. Don't know the current price for custom chips from them, but it will be significantly less than cpc.

As for high end plastics, i think Abbiati might end up crazy expensive for a single set. Matsui is a more affordable choice between the two.

You can order as an individual from Matsui and Abbiati but the pricing is high. Not only are the per chip prices high but they also charge a lot for art fees, something like $250 per label design. This can get very expensive if you have a different label per denomination. There are also fees for not making a minimum order quantity for each chip (e.g. 775 euro for Abbiati for less than 1000 chips of a single denomination).

So while it's possible, it's gonna be very expensive. Even with group buys of 1000s of these chips, the pricing is still around a minimum of $2/chip

My advice would be to check the available Matsui or Bud Jones chips here and build/relabel a set:
