I created an account specifically for this. I was wondering who is the best person or most reliable here for designing custom chips? I am looking at potentially getting chips ordered through cpc and trying to just figure out the process etc? It wouldn't be anything crazy just for home games mainly. Thanks in advance.

I 'm computer-illiterate and can just use the CPC design tool, so I can't design labels.
I 'd offer my ideas for free, out of lust for custom CPCs.

Welcome!
I think being ready when CPC takes orders again is a fantastic position. Previously orders were filled 8 to 14? Months after ordered, but the new management plans on faster turn arounds.

A lot of the designers have different styles. I would also explore various different themes. My first theme wasn’t well received even though I still enjoy it. After having seasoned my second and third theme is better. I ended up with one I love and don’t think I can top.

I know the names mentioned do good work because I have seen sets posted from time to time. But so much clutter comes up if you try to just search the member name.
Is there an easy way to see previous works for these designers?

Finding a designer that fits your style is huge. Different designers have different styles like any artist. Mattross has been wonderful to work with and always seems to understand the look i am going for.

Taking note of some of the names here. My Dad is a retired graphic artist who still works freelance jobs and is extremely talented and creative…BUT he doesn’t understand poker chip aesthetic. When I show him famous poker chips he thinks they are boring and simple 🤣

He also over complicates the process on the technical side and has me asking all types of questions about file types, sizes, resolutions etc…all for a 25mm label. I’m thinking of paying someone next time than putting either of us through this process again 🤣

I can vouch for @Okku and @mattross1313 and there are many others, as the above indicates.

Reach out to several, ask for a portfolio of chip designs, narrow it down, share your concept and then see if they are available to help you.

Start early, and be ready to go back and forth. They are all busy with other projects or other life stuff and you’ll have to cue up. And be ready to take time to ge it right.

Take their suggestions to heart but remember that, at the end of the day, it’s your vision and they are helping you get to what you want.

Thats just about finding and working with a designer, though. There are tons of other threads about custom ordering, etc. There’s probably tons of other threads about choosing a designer now that I think about it…. Search function is your friend.
