I'm 40 minutes Northwest of Detroit and looking to play at one of the casinos. Out of the three (MGM, Motor City, and Greektown), which do you like and why? Are there fishier players at one vs. the others? I play PLO and NLHE. I play 1/2 and would like to do the same at one of the casinos. Going to assume the PLO isn't played that much at these places.

I prefer greektown, more because of the surrounding area. I prefer or home games in southern Michigan.

Where are you located at?

Back in 2015 I visited all Detroit's casinos plus Windsor: my favourite was Greektown ... anyway, now it's under Hollywood brand and much changed since then

I like Motor City the best. Usually the list isn’t too bad and if you call in 30-60 min prior you’ll wait another 20 after you get there. I seem to wait a little longer at MGM.
From what I’ve heard from other players is they like MGM because it has less “riff-raff” than Motor City and is “cleaner”. Greektown is the least desired and doesn’t have a ton of tables running. GT is full of OMC’s that like to play there because all the other OMC buddies play there as well.

I prefer MC because it has more of the seven vibe. Sometimes you’ll be playing against Mis Regs only but on the weekend nights you’ll get lucky and catch some serious action. It seems like the place that the dope dealers like to show up with 2 ounces of weed on them (or they smell like they do) and a pocketful of cash. Or the gambler that is up from Toledo, drunk AF playing craps, now he is playing cards. I’ve had lots of good tables full of these guys. White and Black and everything in between. If you can handle that vibe then I feel MC is the way to go.

If not like the other comment said. People go to MGM to avoid the riff-raff and that is where the “snotty” vibe comes from. Greektown has been bad for years unless they run the 1-3 match the big stack.
