Their feathers are bursting with color, in neon shades of yellow, orange, red, blue, and green. Sun parakeet.

I think you've got a good thing going. I'm a guy that likes color and complication to increase with face value. So for me the green needs 3 colors or at minimum try 3 edge spots. I can live with 2 on the frac go with 2 spots instead of aba so it looks more intentional and more "frac"

Or if you like consistency do 3 spots on everything.

i really like the sun parakeet. I am using a blue and yellow macaw as the yellow base chip but I definilty want to incorporate the sun parakeet somehow. I like the idea of 3 colors on the edge for everything. Any ideas for edge spots on a green base?

Paste some birds.

If you want 3 colors on each but still want more oomph up the lineup you can do 3 groups of 3x18 sized spots on frac
3 groups 3x16 on 1
3 groups 16/14/16 or 3x16 or 3x14 on 5
3 groups 14/12/14 or 3x14 or 3x12 on 25
3 groups 3x12 on 100

I'm invested.

on the blue one I cant find a comination of colors I like for 3 colors on the edge spot. Its the blue and yellow macaw. any suggestion?

Add white. There's white on face.

Is white chip out? If so move to end of lineup if you want to save.

if no white blue and red are now too similar in pallet. What happened to the old blue. It was good.

Is it a trial to rotate all or will their be 1 special? Alternate all the way up? High denoms 1 way and low the other?

Some may fear dirty stack between red and green because both have red and green and they're adjacent denoms. I think its serviceable as is but let a real designer weigh in. Who would mistake a parrot for a resplendent quetzal?

I like the High denoms 1 way and low the other way idea! I agree on the red and green thing. It seems up to standard but another opinion helps. I used the larger edge spots on the 5 because I want that chip specifcally to stand out and pop. @Machine matching the color with the number was a good touch, It really brings the set together!

I think you might find that the denom is a little small. Print these out at 100% size and hold at a distance approximate to actual play, to see if it is ok with you.

Couple of pieces you might want to correct still from the AI image:
1. Card under the beak, do you want that higher up as if the Toucan is holding onto it with it's beak? Otherwise might want to move it to a more logicial place coming from the wing.
2. The wing colors are inconsistent, I'd correct one side to be common to the other.

Like the design though, just needs some corrections IMO.

I appreciate the feedback :). The original toucan is AI from the first slide which is why it has texture to it and the ace is messed up. The vector toucan is not but I appreciate your feedback on the card. It is intended to be on the wing but it looked awkward further down the wing. I can send you the .ai file if you want to take a shot at it tho. Always love the feeeback

Yep, nothing against AI, just noting there are some artifacts left over that don't feel right. The wing still has some blue/symmetry issues.

Yeah I had the original toucan from page 1 below it so while I was pathing my lines were a little off but I havnt had the time to go back and fix all those things yet.

Yeah, see that now too.

I was thinking more on the card location too: Maybe move it down slightly so the right foot has it between the two claws? Just trying to find a logical spot for it that doesn't mess up the overall look.

Yeah I agree tho, It definitely needs to be moved somewhere.

Yeah, no clue as to level of editing needed to correct. I don't really use illustrator unless forced for minor processing details. I largely only use photoshop, and place my final images/layers in illustrator to help printers.. but I usually design in photoshop at 1000dpi/60mm to prevent visible loss.. something that only really works for the format size we're dealing with here.

Point being, an edit in photoshop here would take me a minute or two to look at different layouts/configs, but no idea on involvement in illustrator but imagine longer unless doing a hybrid for mockup purposes. I prioritize edit time vs vectors, but can bite me in other ways.

You were right about the numbers being to small! Freshly enlarged. Thinking about molds? I do not have much experience as far as what would make this set pop the most. Web?

Now that @Cratty pointed out the wings don't match I'm tilted.

If this is for hybrid chip and you're going to do a color matched label then maybe don't. It's not easy. Just ask @Cratty. If you're doing it you might as well do a few different style inlays!

I was never a guy that cared about denoms on standard casino colors until I played some color blind players. They kept kept live misclicking $25 instead of $5. I looked at my order with a color blind simulator with them in mind and did the same for yours.

4.63% of males will see your set like this:

Which is fine.

1.27% will see your set like this:

I think the biggest benefactor of the bigger denoms is our brothers with Deuteranopia Color Blindness.
