Playing around with some designs and I really like the vintage font on the original Playboy Club chips.

Do any of the design/history experts around here know which fonts they are?

They’re probably hand lettered originally, but would be interested to know if there were any anyone knows of that come close?

I think the general text is basically a generic sans serif, but the number fonts feel like there should be something out there

Thanks to all in advance.

Thanks! Ended up doing a little tracing and modifying.

The Playboy club has a little place in my heart from my time in casinos.

I’ve put together a tribute set to the original club but I’m back and forth on the colours.

Seeing the colours in real life has helped a lot (thanks @GreatWhiteDope!)

What do y’all think works better: original or Dayglow?

(And yah, another 50p chip… wouldn’t feel right without it)

I prefer the original colours above, dayglo seems too bright for this set. That said without the comparison I don't think I would notice the difference both are very nice designs.

Love the inlay. If it were me I'd do a chip lineup closer to something like this (last being ncv, get rid of the 50p).

I also assume you're doing two-sided alt inlays.. you better. Ha

Thanks! I like the original too, but the 5 & 25 chips feel a bit too dark.

I was working on a blend to lighten them up and I think @Cratty and I had the same idea around colours

Also - Great minds!

Will have a play with NCV tonight. Was trying to keep a low one as I have a mix of players across games, some beginners that work better with 5p/10p £20 buy in. The higher ncv could work too

Good tip. Charcoal works for the 1 and I’ve marooned the 50p.

I’m not sure about the 25p and amount of white. Will probably remove the 50p for the actual production run.

Thoughts?

One more revision: Went back to the original card order form and got the colours from the shilling chips. Also thought of the Union Jack for a ncv.

Any feedback welcome!

I love how the inlays look! Really nicely done, this will be an amazing set one they're done.
