As the title states, I tried my hand at a chip set using ChipmaticStudio.

For some context, I ordered a sample set of Tinas, and generally liked what I received. I also ordered a set of Majestics from Apache and liked their feel, texture, and sound slightly more. However, after talking to Apache, it sounded like they're unwilling to swap denomination stickers onto colored chips of my choosing. Unfortunately, tearing labels off and/or applying custom labels to hundreds of chips sounds even less attractive. So, what started out as a project to clone Majestic Card Room chips eventually morphed into this. This set is obviously still inspired by Majestics with my own flair. Suggestions, comments, and feedback are most welcome.

Credits to @Gear for pointing me here and @Colquhoun for feedback during the design process.

I really like them! I like the consistent spot patterns and the labels aren't too busy (which I think is a problem for a lot people's first chips). My one piece of feedback would be lighten up the denomination on the $100 chip a bit -- the contrast is pretty low as is.

That's good feedback on the $100 chip, and something I've already tried to balance. The current lettering is already a few shades lighter because the actual chip coloring was too dark. I can try to play with it to increase the contrast more.

A few things here. First, as @QuietMaple suggested, I subtly lightened up the value on the Black $100 chip to increase the contrast. Second, I added a variant for the $1,000 and $5,000 chips to say $1K and $5K, respectively. Finally, I see a lot of bright, colorful chips on the forums, so I created a more vibrant set with the same $1K/$5K variants.

Feedback, criticism, and suggestions welcome!

Looks good. I much prefer the brighter set. They look more premium in my book. And it's totally a personal preference, but I like the 1000 and 5000 vs. the 1K and 5K.

I prefer the dark over the light, I do agree $1,000 > $1K.

Gear also does relabeling, is that just something a bit out of your price range?

Is this a tournament set?

Also I thought Apache was able to sell the majestics without inlays. Is that true?

It's possible, but I didn't specifically ask that question. Regardless, going that route increases my expenses and time spent making them how I want versus receiving exactly what I want from the manufacturer.

Didn't see this one initially, but yes I'm aware Gear does relabeling. It just pushes them out of my price range. Apache is already more expensive than Tina, and the extra labeling fee drives that cost up a decent bit more. I don't dislike Tina's by any stretch. I just like Majestics a tiny bit more. Not significantly enough that I'd pay that much more to make them happen.

Ideally this would be both, tournament and cash, with the tourney set starting at $100. I play a good bit of poker both at my house and on work trips, so both would see lots of use. The handful of times we've played both simultaneously with my dice chips, it was hectic accounting for chips to avoid co-mingling. Having a hardline value separation would help alleviate this and satisfies my OCD by being part of a "set".

They all look cool IMO.
I have been working on some ideas for a logo, but I just can’t land on one. Everytime I start doing something, I have to add more or (what I think is ) a better idea keeps me spiraling. lol.
Is there any way you could
Share the file for the design of the chips?
(Not the inlay) I would greatly appreciate it!
