Where is Will Kassouf? (1 Viewer)

I never said that?

Find my quote where I said you need a 10k cash to post.

Man... this guy talks about people in the WSOP being snowflakes around Kassouf, and here he can't even take a little ribbing on a freakin' internet forum.

If true, I'll lay off. As it definitely warrants a different approach to your posts.

Thanks for sharing this.

It is true lol but it's all good man I can roll with the punches. Its why my argument style is Intense because I feel strongly for what I believe is fact.

Anyway I won the autism lottery - if you're gonna be born with it you wanna be on the spectrum where I sit. It helps massively with my poker too because I'm obsessed with studying and improving my performances.

I must have a lot rougher friends than you all :) , I mean tell me he was annoying some people or that he was breaking rules or etiquette and I get it-but verbal abuse? Bullying? While it may not be as constant I hear worse from my friends and random people at the casino than what kassouf was actually saying.

I’m not a fan of watering down words and phrases. verbal abuse and bullying are very real and pretty horrible to people who experience it regularly so it makes me feel bad about my self when I roll my eyes more often than not when I hear those words now. Same with “nazi” and stuff like that, I shouldn’t just automatically assume the person saying those things is just being dramatic...but I do now most of the times.

If the dude annoyed people that’s one thing. If you wouldn’t invite him to your house because of his talking I get it. But to act like he’s the worst person in the world or what he is saying is “verbal abuse” like a lot of the tv commentary and the people he was playing with said back then I think they need to spend just a few hours at a shelter or talk to a counselor and ask them what they have seen as far as “verbal abuse”- it’s a lot worse than having a constant talking in your ear while sitting at a $10k buy in poker tournament or to get needled for folding to 9 high.

The dude applied pressure in a huge river situation and got into her head. I don’t think any of the statements below could be construed as abusive

“There is 600k in the pot”
“I want you to call”
“The decision is on you”
“Good luck to you”
“I’ll keep it friendly”
“As a friendly favor if you fold and show I’ll show”
“I want you to call 100%”
“I can’t tell you what I’ve got but you do not put me on this hand”
“I’m not trying to bust you”

The one borderline comment was “If you bust out with the whole camera crew watching, that’ll be embarrassing” but nothing super egregious from my perspective.

Is anyone here actually pushing the "verbal abuse" line?

All I'm saying is the guy is an asshole/douchebag. No more, no less. And if he tilts me at the table, he'll get the same asshole/douchebaggery right back. I'll take 20-minutes to tank every hand he's not in, and needle the shit out of him while he's trying to make a decision.

All's fair in love and poker. *shrug*

That's the funniest thing you've ever posted. :D

Not sure really, I could go back and read but i was more or less referring to the general sentiment around the incident when it came out. In my third paragraph (damn I ramble) I specifically pointed out I was referring to the tv commentary and the people playing with him who didn’t like him.

I’m not arguing if he’s an asshole or not bud, and if that’s what you think I get it, I was just adding to the conversation how overblown what he actually “said” was, not the frequency of those words. ;)

To me the dude grandstanding and saying “check your privilege” is way more aggravating, I wold have kassouf at my home game ten times out of ten over that dude. Anytime I hear somebody say “check your privilege” all I can think of is someone making an instagram post ranting against “capitalism maaaaan” from an iPhone while drinking a Starbucks. ;) None of that crap computes with me. Talkative assholes though? Yeah, I get that. :D

My 2c is that any big personality is good for poker. I remember the golden years of poker when we had PAD with all the big names and it was the best. People pushing the limits with speech play and general antics are what makes the WSOP interesting IMO. I don't want to see a bunch of math prodigies silently doing math in their heads with their earbuds in. I want to be entertained whether it is Hansen, Helmuth, or Mike the mouth. Everyone has their own personality and antics that make it fun.

On a personal level I wouldn't want to play with him since he seems annoying af.

Yeah the abuse angle was pushed by Benger in this hand. Starts at 4:10. How someone can excel at poker and be this thin skinned is beyond me.

I think that Benger was serious, but I also think that he was goading him on this hand and it worked.

Agreed. Benger's reaction was far worse.

To blatantly rip off the first comment on that video...

Oooo.... reverse trolling on Kassouf? Never thought of that.

I never truly understood the meaning of schadenfreude until I saw the Benger-Kassouf AA-KK hand.

It was poetic.

I quit watching once the verbal abuse accusation hit. It sure isn’t verbal abuse, but hell if that’s not the most annoying 3 minutes I’ve ever heard from anyone.

To @Lemonzest point, a lot of these characters are entertaining. They provide value to the viewer at these big events. I enjoy watching those characters, including the hilarious best of clips people regularly post here. Maybe I should look at other snippets, but so far I’d rather watch anything then this man talk and tank, teetering the line of boring/annoying the table to death.

I don't believe Benger was using his outburst as a strategy to get WK to call. I think that is giving Benger too much credit. He talks about the situation in this video and it sounds more like he was just under pressure and thought WK deserved a tongue lashing.
